PC On Golds: Need Tips for Future

Hi all, i am relatively new to GW, so please bear with me.

Having looked at some of the PC guides, it seems they are quite out of date now, so i wanted to ask if anyone has any general rules they use for knowing when to merch an item, when to salvage mods and when to try to sell it as it is.

Also i have a few golds laying around in storage, although i suspect they'll all be worthless:

well,ahm,rules for pcing
1.is it max dmg or not

2.white/merch,blue/merch-if its not inscritable,purple/usualy merch(exept crystalline sword and few inscriptable shields),gold-depends if its inscriptable or oldschool

3.req on inscriptable items,req and dmg mode on old tyrian/canthan items

Thats good for start...sry but i have no time to do pc,im in problems with the free time
