Hero using Elite Skill
Remexx
Anyone know why Anton (EOTN Sin) won't use Barrage. He uses all the other skills in his bar correctly, but refuses to use Barrage. I even disabled everything, and he still refused.

He's holding a bow, right? If so, I don't know what the problem could be. Will he use the skill if you manually activate it?
Remexx
Yeah, he has a bow, and yes he will if I manually tell him too. He uses the rest of his bar like he is suppose too. Starting to believe its a Areanet glitch, the first one I've ever seen. Extreme Sarcasm
DarkFlame
Make it the first skill on the left on his bar. It'll prioritize that skill above the others. I know my Zenmai uses Barrage quite effectively, but have never used Anton as such.

Last time i heard Heroes only use Barrage when there are multiple targets to hit. If the target is alone then they don't wanna use it, even if it does add a bit extra dmg. They take the usage of the skill very litterally.....if they can't let off a barrage then they don't use it.
Never tried it on a hero myself though but i remember reading it somewhere.

Yeah its on the left of the bar, and I had it equipped with Volley too. He spammed Volley like his life depended on it. Then I thought he wouldn't use Barrage because of Volley, so I removed it. Still didn't work.

I've had problems with various heroes and barrage (all Rangers, btw). It seems to come and go, so it may be a glitch/bug. As you've discovered though, they use Volley effectively.

Heroes don't use a lot of skills. Heal Party being one of them. And even if they did use it, the AMAZING LEET PROGRAMMING SKILLS would allow your HIGHLY INTELLIGENT DUNKORO to spam it repeatedly!

When it comes to heroes using Barrage and Volley, they will only use them when there are a certain number of targets adjacent to each other to make the skill truly worthwhile. Volley tends to get used against smaller clusters of monsters (2-3) which is easy to do, as they tend to form small clusters on their own; but to get the larger clusters needed for them to use Barrage you need to force the mobs to move closer together so that there are 5 or 6 of them practically on top of each other. In my experience, this tends to be more trouble than it's worth, so I stick to Volley and reserve the elite slot for something like BHA.
