Why can't pve chars change armor in pvp?

I don't even get the question.

Wha? No character can change armor while in PvP.

PvE characters can absolutely change their armor - they just can't do it for free.

PvP characters have a very limited selection of armor to choose from.

Just buy the armor you want to use, for the PvE character, and put it on, (make sure you buy it w/ the character that will be using the armor, as armor is immediately customized to the character that bought it).

Wait wait, I didn't explain it to well. I meant why can't PVE chars can't change their armor in pvp MATCHES.

No one can change during the match, you can change it after.

You used to be able to, but it was deemed to give an unfair advantage to PvE characters.
