Hey I was just wondering how the report system works. Three times now already have I been reported for doing something that wasn't my fault. In RA, they reported me for leeching, while after five minutes I was just tired of healing our freakin terra tanks that didn't do any damage, so they report me for not healing!
I was just wondering, does this affect my account in any way?

Dishonorable Combatant System

Dishonor points affect game types that have randomly formed teams such as Random Arenas, Alliance Battles, and Competitive Missions.

In game appearance
An account may be given dishonor points for leaving a PvP match prematurely, for leeching experience or faction, or for falsely reporting teammates for leeching. Note that a player will not receive any dishonor points if he leaves AFTER the victorious team has been announced.

Players who leave a PvP match prematurely will receive 5 dishonor points.
If a player is reported for leeching, that player will receive 2 dishonor points for each report against him. Players who report a team member for leeching without a third of their team also reporting that player will also receive 2 dishonor points.
Any account that has accumulated 10 or more dishonor points is given the Dishonorable status, which is displayed as a buff icon on screen. While affected by this status, no characters present on that account may enter any PvP missions.
The Dishonorable status remains in effect for 1 minute for each accumulated dishonor point. This status cannot be removed by logging out or changing characters.
When the duration of the Dishonorable status has expired, characters on that account may once again join PvP missions.
Dishonor points will remain on the player's account for a total of 60 minutes. If further dishonor points are acquired during this period, that account is once again given the Dishonorable status, though for a longer period of time.
To clear dishonor points from an account, a player must go 60 minutes without accumulating any new dishonor points.

Dishonor's Hex timer does not decrease unless you are in a PVP area.
The Hex does not appear in PVE areas or towns.
The Hex timer does decrease while in your Guild Hall.
Bug! Getting connection error twice and not being able to reconnect can also cause this status effect. It is unknown if ArenaNet knows about this bug.
Just play 60 minutes PvP w/o being reported

1) Five minutes is a long time in a PvP match , so during this five minutes are you just chillin' and watching your teammates die? That's considered leeching and is practically the definition of it.

2) Don't want to heal idiots, don't take a monk to RA. Rage-quitting monking because you don't like what your team is doing is going to get you reported, as you have discovered. So knock it off. Just because they suck doesn't mean that doing an obvious less than at least an effort (called trying) is going to piss people off. They don't want to waste their time with dead wood just there for the faction and doing nothing to earn it. That's why it got implimented to begin with.

3) At your rate, might as well just leave the match early, same end result.

Maybe you should read a little more carefully. He said AFTER 5min he quit healing the terra tank (does nothing but stay alive, not even any attacks) because it was the last person left....no part of that is leeching

Once is an accident, twice is careless, three times? Well that implies some fault.

Three times in an hour time...

Anyways, you can only get dishonored, no bans or anything?

Of course, you could always accidentally position yourself so you get killed, then you can't exactly heal the useless terra tank. Just don't do it consistently or you'll get reported for being a dumbass
