5k balth = 1 key right? I'm a 100% PvE player, I'm not into PvP, and therefore suck at it, and therefore unwilling to play it.
But even I can make 2k balthazar a day in under 20 minutes by doing the zaishen pvp training twice every day.
I used to do that for unlocking skills, and then acquiring them with tomes.
Now I'm gonna spend these on zaishen keys, sell those for 4.5k, and make 9k for every 10k balthazar.
9k = 9 skills @ trainer >>> 10 unlocked skills plus 10 tomes @ 500g/µ (5k) IF you manage to get any.
I love these keys, and I hope people will stay stupid enough to buy them @ 4-5k each, for lousy drops. =D

I've burned through at least 40+keys and sold 20+. Of over 40+keys not one item dropped that was worth over 10k and mods on the items were never maxed either, you stand to probably make more selling the keys then hoping for a decent drop worth maybe 100K+ some odd ecto if you're lucky. If I sold the 60 keys I'd rake in 300k enough to buy whatever rare item I wanted anyways.

don't compare to each other about what u got, look at the market, that chest is killing some of the remaining rare skin and fun of game play. ppl use to spend hours in ha, uw, to beat all the quest or other team to have a chance of getting rare item drop from the chest, it takes time, skill and exp. but now ppl just ab(mostly), ra or ta, some even leech there and able to get lots of keys by the end of the day, and if they are lucky, there will be a rare drop out of nowhere. some of them won't even make it to a ha team, or be able to beat uw or other elite area, they spent time alright, but do they really deserve to have the rare skin?
p.s. i still respect ppl that actually enjoy pvp and ppl that farm or trade for the rare skin

People who still care about rare skins being "uber" rare are setting themselves up for disapointment.
The longer the game goes on, the less rare a skin will be. That's just common sense. I think most people have dealt with it by now.

But isn't the chest a tad bit of a slap in the face to all the people who farmed elite areas to get these skins, and now they're just readily available?

heh There are 3 rare items in the game Kanaxai & Roller Beetle Mini Pets & Roller Beetle Transmogrifers.
The Zaishen keys have led to an increase in leeching in AB...where reporting someone for leeching serves no real purpose aside from calling them out as a leecher to the people in that particular game.

beware.... i saw a person scamming at kamadan, selling zaishen token 200gold each in a bunch of 5 , saying u can exchange 5 zaishen token for 1 zaishen key key... i think some people fell prey for it.

Plus the keys are already dropped 1.7k(3.3k atm), so it's probably gonna drop to 1k a piece.

These things are, quite simply, not worth paying gold for. But if you've got Balthazar faction to spend, you can use it on the keys and possibly get a nice item. I'd never pay my cash for a key, but if I can get it for free, why not? It's a nice little bonus, in my opinion.

I think these keys are great. To me its just a reward for people that just like to pvp with some side pve for fun. So once you unlock all yours skills you have something to spend balthazar on.

Zaishen Chest made me do PvP instead of... PvP. Lol. Actually, its good when I cant get a glad point in RA in 2 hours, but I still get balth faction->I get key->I actually get something (even if its a firewater, which is really maddening 
)
