To open or not to open...

I just got my third second-year present (I don't remember getting the second one but oh well) and I remember when I opened my first second-year present I got a Wind Rider. What a crap minipet and what a waste of a present... No idea what the second one was.

So now I'm kinda torn... My luck hasn't been so great in the past so do I risk losing out on a bunch of guaranteed gold for a gold minipet or do I just sell it and get the guaranteed gold? That's the other thing... What's an unopened second-year present worth? The only listing on the auctions is for 125k and that seems a little too good to be true.

Also, are your chances affected by your character's experience, playing time or anything like that?

The opinions I got in-game weren't all that useful. One opinion was "everybody just throws them away I'll give you 100g for it". That gave me a good laugh
