If you were in AB and you knew the leecher personally want would you do?
MywayFtw
I'd /report, simply.
They wouldn't know anything about it, till they get the ban.
Thats when I would start acting smug.

All real leechers are at Fort Aspenwood.
I imagine most of us know a guild mate or someone that has done something that would warrant a ban and we turn a blind eye.
If the person were in my Guild, I'd ask them not to leech, and if they don't stop, I'd report them. I hate losers who leech and ruin the gaming experience for those who play the game like it should.

Surena
Friendship over /report. It's not upon you to parent others. Eventually he/she'll get banned anyway.
Toriyaki
Eh, I don't make friends with arrogant people who think they can get away with dumb things.
So if they did leech, it would probably be an emergency or some other good reason. Anyways, I don't judge people but what they do in a game...seriously (unless they're obnoxious in chat).

Chicken Ftw
1. See friend leech.
2. Hook said friend up with cute friend of mine... who happens to be a trap.
3. ???
4. PROFIT!
Actually I probably wouldn't do anything, since I don't really give a shit about AB or anything that goes on there. Plus, I'm lazy.

artay
I'd be the first to report them, I don't really care, but me and my friends stir eachother up like that playfully
Just a game hey :P
Just a game hey :P
Darkobra
Yell at them and shower them with abuse. If I'd do it to a stranger who was leeching, I'd sure as hell do it to a friend who was leeching. I don't take prisoners or pick favourites.

You can't see me

- make sure its not a mistake firstly. I got banned myself when i spilled milk on my keyboard (i know it sounds lame as hell, but true none the less)
- Give the person hell for it, tell the person its wrong as @#$%, but listen to their response.
- This person is a 'friend' for a reason, act like it and dont report. Leechers will be ID'd anyways by other players.

id laugh and leech with him... oops
Scary Raebbit
/report
I don't really care. If a friend is doing that, I should not condone him for leeching.
If your friendship falls apart because you /report'd him, I'd find new friends.
You know, since it's srs bizness.

Report them.
It's only dishonor points, and if it discourages them from doing it again it served it's purpose.
If they persist in doing it Kick them from the Guild/Ignore Them.

if i knew the person irl? they wouldn't be leeching :P it's as easy as that lol
if it was someone in the alliance whom i don't know that well, i'd /report, kick after fight and tell alliance leader so she can give the guild a head up before we kick them out :P

Catrion-Leyt
I'd wonder why he's leeching and then get the hell over it.

I'd probably just /rank them and leeroy out the front gate.
doinchi
He would become a person that I knew. Not someone that I know.

Yes it's harsh, but if you wrap people in cotton wool and say "it's ok if you want to leech now and again"...is that supposed to help them learn that it's bad?
truemyths
I would tell them to knock it off in/out of game
at the least build a bot/macro to do something and fire off some skills. I've seen bots in Aspenwood do that
lol

Stormcaller
I would try PM'ing him/her and try to get a reason why he/she is leeching and if I get no response I will report like normal and try to keep PM'ing that one and if I still get no answer and depending on how well I know that person I might just give that one a second chance and deal with the problem later when that one is active which may/may not result in a kick or ignore but if it was an emergency I will tell that one to be careful next time and let everyone clearly know first.
I might also try calling/emailing or if I get to see that person I might get an answer and will be able to come up with something so that one doesn't leech anymore...hopefully.

I've played this game for a long time, and am a regular AB participant. The only people I "know" that I ab with are other veterans with at least a little sense of pride. Noone I ab with would even consider leeching for the sake of leeching. Thus if they arnt moving right away I stick up for them, and let everyone know they will be back shortly or they are just d/c. They always do come back too, so its all good.
Fried Tech
I just wouldnt ab with them anymore. unless they came up with a really good excuse...... entertaining stories make everything better.
Kusandaa
I can tell you that I don't know anyone that leeches, or that would actually come to this. I'd probably give a fair warning; that's the type of behavior I really don't like at all. So far I haven't stumbled upon a single leecher in AB, on my side and my teams anyways. And the day I will do, they will get reported.
I can understand random AFKs (I had to AFK for a good 5 minutes because the door rang and I was home alone in the middle of an AB), in the case I give my team a warning. I just wish other players would do the same, because I've seen several people going AFK without warning and suddenly, you have a "<Player Name> has been reported for leeching", which results in "Eh sorry, phone rang" or "parents were yelling at me" thing. And they resume their play. Nothing wrong there IMHO...
And IMHO leeching should also be reported in PvE. I got into FoW and we had a dude (our healer too - I was running prot) not doing anything but picking up his drops and standing idle while the group would fight. Our group over-aggroed, healer left, and me being prot well... can't heal. Group dead. >_>.

Perkunas
My problem with a personal friend, is not leeching, but being more of a Leeroy. I call him on phone and say "hey slow it down a bit." Would probably do same if "leeching."
Don Zardeone
If I knew he was your friend and you wouldn't report then I'd probably report both of you =P

Im Using The Force
Reporting in AB is obviously widely misunderstood. I seriously doubt there is a record kept of leech reports in AB.There would be no way for Anet to verify your claim that someone is leeching even with an avalanche of reports simply because whole alliances could/would abuse such a feature. It seems like this is more a feature used just to call people out in an individual game.Besides there are much more glaring flaws in AB aside from people leeching but I have noticed an increase in AB leeching since Zaishen Keys were implemented.
Since HZH & Cavalon never fall... Its just another arena. Lopsided arena maps are 100% responsible for the wait times because people just guest invite to the map with the advantage. Good luck getting new AB maps...We've been trying for 2 years. Personally, I'd like to see an ANET official dispute any of this. Im not gonna hold my breath.
