teaming up?

can my factions based character team up with characters beased either in prophecies or nightfall?


i guess, also to change my secondary in factions, i need ascention to get to senji. what lvl do i need to be to get ascention easily in factions, prophecies and nighfall? i guess it would be easy to change in factions since you gain experience more readily in factions

If you have the other chapters and go there or if the others are in factions, yes. You cannot go to the other area's if you do not have that chapter.

By the time you get to senji's you should either be a 20 or really close.

You can team up with characters started in any campaign, provided you are both in the same location (meaning you both have access to a common campaign).

Yes, your Factions character can team up with Prophecies and Nightfall characters if you find yourself in the same outpost as them. Characters are able to cross between campaigns once they reach a certain point in their home campaigns (provided the player has more than one chapter registered on their game account) - so if you can meet them, you can team up with them.

As for ascending, it probably takes the least effort to ascend in Factions (all you need to do is complete mission 4: Nahpui Quarter and you've not only ascended but also been given immediate access to Senji's Corner). You ought to be level 20 long before this point due to the faster levelling in Factions.

Ascending in Nightfall also doesn't take much effort: complete the Consulate Docks mission and do the first coupla parts of the primary quest arc to mission 5. You would most likely be level 17-20 at that point, depending on how many side quests you had done in Istan.

Ascending in Prophecies is, to put it lightly, a pain. You need to complete 5 missions to do this, starting with Sanctum Cay and ending with Augury Rock. You can be any level for this (Augury Rock only requires you to step on a few stones and defeat a single opponent in one on one combat for you to complete it), and I've seen characters as low as level 4 come out the other end of Augury Rock. Level is immaterial for ascending in prophecies, as long as you're competent in single combat.

Once you reach the point in any of the campaigns where you can travel abroad, Prophecies/Factions/Nightfall are all one unified game world. You can travel around at will and group with whomever you want.
