You will sometimes see mind blasters in GvG on observer mode getting +9s, meaning they are using a major.

Or Weakness.

No. Weakness subtracts 1 from their attribute, not adds it.

Normally people in GvG run minors and get +8 on mind blast. If they are running a major they will get +9. They will never be running a superior.

Sometimes I'll run a major on a caster setup instead of a minor. Most of the time, I wouldn't use them outside Rangers and maybe Paragons.

You use Major runes in PvP. Because Supes take off way too much health -75...

I'm too cheap to get sup death runes for my Ollies, so I get major. Same for monk runes on my heroes, and I don't want to buy the health runes to make up for the loss.

I'd be tempted to use a Major on rare occasions for Rangers and Paras; both classes are stupidly hard to kill and can cope with the health loss.
The only other time I'd bother with Major is on a Mind Blaster, the extra energy gain adds up fast.

My ele uses a Major Fire rune becuase it's a good trade off between health points and power. I cringe at the idea of losing 75 HP just for another attribute point. I find that my Ele is better able to survive with a higher number of health points, even though it takes longer to kill the enemy.

I used to run two majors and a minor, especially if I wanted to spread the stats. Getting +2 in two attributes (always used a minor on the headpiece, so three +2s) was better to me than getting +3 (or +4 for a helm) in one attribute. Also got this with an extra five health than going with a superior rune.

Could just be a +1 20% item kicking in.

Oh, and my heroes use majors... that's about it.

I mostly only use Sups for death necros because of the extra minion

I use them to push numbers of favorite skills up a little with only a reasonable health sacrifice. Superior runes are only suitable on necromancers, elementalists, and 55 farmers.

On my mes, ele, rit I run with 1 super + minors partially because that simply how I started doing it and haven't bothered changing.

On my monk though, I run with 1 major + minors, to be honest I've never found the extra healing worth anything from running a super (other than vigor) on a monk.

Death Magic is probably the exception for Superior Runes. The extra Minion goes a long way, and the lower health works well with BotM. Most other lines suffer the result of -75hp for marginal benefits.

Two Majors and a Minor on the Helm sounds great for Rangers and Paragons, and anyone getting spread a bit thin.

I use majors on heroes most of the time (except for Necro heroes), and I use double majors on my Ranger (Marks + Expertise). They have their uses, it's just few and far between.

As everyone else before me has probably said, i run minors/majors most of the time, usually dual majors. I only one superior, on my nuker, even though i hate it (it's only for power). Think about it, -35 health, or +1 attribute and -75? Most of the time, it's not worth it.

For pve I never really use majors, the reason being that sups work fine and the small gain of 2 majors vs 1 sup is very small, and forces you to have so many more armor pieces to swap around for different buildsets.

For pvp its only for meeting a very important breakpoint, no other situation.

2 majors is better then 1 sup unless you need 16 in an attribute, for 2 reasons:

1. +5 total health
2. having 2 attributes at, for example 11 each and using 2 majors, costs less points then having one at 10 and one at 12 and using a sup/minor.
