Why is it a WoW clone?

One thing I have noticed is that people are saying that GW2 is just going to be a "WoW clone". Why do people say this? Just because WoW has done something before doesn't mean they copyrighted it. It seems like every game that has races such as elves and gnomes will just be labeled as a "WoW clone".

Take for example the Slyvari. They communicate with the dream of dreams, I read somewhere else on GWG(I think the lore forum) that a race in WoW has the something practically the same and that Anet just copied WoW. Well, to be frank that is just not true. if you have ever watched a TV show called Buzz Lightyear then you will know about the green aliens that work for his organization. Well these creatures have the same type of communication as the dream of dreams. Well does that mean they copied WoW? No, it just means they re-used an idea.

So what I want to know is why people are saying GW2 is going to be a "WoW clone" when all Anet is doing is just re-using ideas and adding their own twist to those ideas.

I've never heard anyway say that. Nuff said.

But seriously, everyone who says that have most likely never played WoW, because theres a huge difference between WoW and GW. This has been discussed countless times and no matter what it turns into a flamefest.
