Foreign Magic?

Hi, Recently something went into my mind.

How are other Races able to cast Magic.
Even Animals can cast Magic(Normal Beasty Monsters).
In what I remember that the Gods only gave "men(humans)" magic.
And the God's would give magic to those who worship them.
Why would Balthazar or Dwayna anyways would want to give magic to there Foes?
And for GW2, How would we play the Norns and Charrs, not sure with Sylvari or Asuras.

• The Humans, 5 Tyrian Gods
• The Charrs, No Worshipping God
• The Norn, Bear/Raven/Wolf Spirit.
• The Sylvari, Unkown
• The Asuras, Who are they worshipping ATM?
• Other Races, 5 Tyrian Gods or None(No Other Selection)

So how? And I am speakng of "after" EotN.
Not when there was Mursaats and Titans.

Almost every race has magic, only a few species of mobs have no caster counterparts.

Zhed, Vekk and Ogden have magic too, and they are not humans.

The current state of magic is after the five Gods locked the magic in the Bloodstone. So it is possible that the magic before those days were much more powerful. Probably a definition issue, that the magic these days are just parlour tricks.

The Bloodstones were sealed and thrown into the big mamma-jamma volcano in the Ring of Fire islands to lock magic away from all the races. However:
...that didn't last long at all. The world of Tyria, and all its inhabitants, had access to magic once again.

So, now I'm wondering about where the Keystone is. It was in Arah when Doric originally agreed to protect it, but was thrown into the volcano with the other bloodstones. Now, it could be anywhere. Hmm... Hall of Monuments, perhaps?

4 Bloodstones and 1 Keystone.
Each bloodstone for each school of magic (destruction, preservation, agression and denial) and the keystone to seal them all.

Speculation (Theory):

Denial: Maguuma Jungle (Bloodstone Fen)
Preservation: Mountains near Sparkfly Swamps (Bloodstone Caves)
Destruction: unknown (either Ice Caves of Sorrow, or the unknown bloodstone)
Agression: unknown (either Ice Caves of Sorrow, or the unknown bloodstone)
Keystone: Inside the caldera of Abaddon's Mouth (the volcano)

Proof:
The Bloodstone in the Bloodstone Fen has the power to 'deny' resurrection (Curse of the Bloodstone effect). Or at least make it harder to ressurect people. Thus this should be the Bloodstone of Denial.
The Bloodstone in the Bloodstone Caves has the power of healing everyone when something dies (Aura of the Bloodstone). Thus this should be named the Bloodstone of Preservation.
The Bloodstone in the volcano in the ring of fire has the power to seal the gate to the Foundry with the use of souls. The Keystone has the power to seal off magic, so this Bloodstone is likely the one.

I was wondering if anyone thinks well be using the bloodstones in Gw 2, prehaps we will need to gather them up some how and use them against the dragons?

Oh yes, the bloodstone's are too big a part of GW for them not to be in GW2, what happens with them. We can only guess.

Also, the Asura don't worship anyone. they believe in an Eternal Alchemy, where things are reborn in a circle of life. Although they understand the gods from a scientific points of view, they don't think of them as deities.

Great points. Destruction bloodstone could be the one guarded by the Stone Summit in the Shiverpeaks, and could explain why they are so bent on annihilation and worshiping the Destroyers. Now I just wonder where that last bloodstone is... aggression.

Just to clarify. All intelligent life was given magic. Or magic was at least given to those races intelligent enough to use it. Because of all the destruction though the magic was sealed up in the the bloodstone. The bloodstone was then smashed into five bits so that individuals couldn't have complete mastery over magic. That's not to say that magic wasn't completely removed. It just became harder to use magic. With the release of the bloodstones though, magic has once again become somewhat easier. The schools of magic are still separated though so that there cant be complete mastery.

The relative difference could be that way back then, individuals could be E/Me/Mo/Rt/N, with 2000 attribute points, have a skillbar with 40 slots, and have 3000 energy, with a constant 20 energy regen. But incidentally everyone still had 480 health.
