Ok I went to the Hall of Monuments, thinking that I coud add Tormented Weapons to the Valor one.

But no , It said that only the greatest of weapons can be accepted...

It was then that I had a big wtf moment,Then I saw that it inly accepts destroyer weapons.

I was like , a Tormented weapon isnT GREAT enough? but a Destroyer Weapon is?

Why? I mean whats the story explanation for this? and even if there is one , arent Tormented weapons harder to get?

For the life of me I just dont get it. Its so Insulting to the poor Margonites dontcha think.

No only destroyer weapons, what is it that you do not understand?

Why a weapon that has better skin , harder to obtain, is at least as "great" from a storyline perspective , is more expensive , isnt considered as great an achievement as getting a destroyer weapon and isnt "worthY" of being displayed on the monument of valor.

Yeah ... lots of people hoped that they could add weapons they actually like to use or find cool to those monuments, but alas, anet decided to make it goldsink rather than something else.

It still doesnt make sense imo. Tormented is a bigger goldsink...

People who do not own Nightfall can not readily obtain Tormented Weapons. The Hall of Monuments only accepts Destroyer Weapons so that it is fair for all, and accessible to all who own Eye of the North. They are easy enough to obtain, even for people who play casually-ish.

Yeah, HoM sucks, we all know. Anet still won't change it though.

Fair for all would be if monument accepted all (max) golds and greens. Thats much more casualish to obtain and gives much more ways to obtain them so that people have bigger chance to find suitable method of obtaining them.

Fair does not have to mean that there is only one kind of items which are ugly as hell and redundant to obtain.

Edit: now there is core way to obtain all skins (zaishen chest) ... so it does not even make much sense not to allow some stuff.

not all skins are obtainable in the zaishen chest. and destroyer is still even though not much, an achievement. sometimes the value doesnt matter in things like this.

Personally I like most of the skins, I'm not mad on the Sword or Shield, but the rest I like.

It would need to drop weapons worthy of being put into the hall if that were the case. Either that or limit it to Req 9 weapons which drop from the chest. What's the point of being able to put in a Req 13 communing wand with a generic skin? Even if it is gold...it proves nothing except you are unlucky enough to get a pretty useless weapon.

Well, i don't. But i would like to be able to add there skins I like, and actually use. And give same ability to other people. Choices, ftw!

Because destroyer weapons for me are thrown out money, and i would likely salvage them for materials few seconds after they got dedicated (if its possible, otherwise just trash em.). And i am not gonna sink money like that.

For person who adds it to monument it could be their favorite weapon with sentimental value.

And why should it prove anything besides fact that person who dedicated it liked it?

There has already been lots of threads about this, it's never going to change so you may as well just accept it.

Where does it stop though? "I got a white non-max drop from pre searing, it has huge sentimental value, we wants to puts our precious in our hallses"...just to fill it up. Allowing other weapons to go in would just open a whole new can o'worms.

Destroyer Weapons are a gold sink for the monument, and a uniform, controllable way for people to add weapons to that monument. It needs to be left as it is.

They can't allow every weapon in the game to be added to the hall of monuments. Be realistic. Everything that goes into the hall means there has to be some corresponding reward in GW2. That is what the hall is for. Personally, I would much rather them keep it as it is and only allow destroyer weapons than have them spend months implementing some system to give each weapon a reward in GW2, at the cost of quality of the game.

I do think that Torment weapons are worthy of the hall of monuments, but it's like Celestial Beaver said. Destroyer weapons are obtainable by everyone who can access the hall of monuments. If they added Torment weapons, I'd expect them to need to add craftable high-end weapon sets from Factions and Prophecies. This leads to a couple of problems. Factions and Prophecies don't have high-end craftable weapons (Factions has a weaponsmith in the Divine Path, but that guy only crafts warrior, ranger, and assassin weapons), and there's the point I raised previously about wasting time on mediocre elements instead of concentrating on making GW2 a good game.

Um... duh? Because the titles for GWEN come from all the games. You can still get a decent amoun of maxed titles with just GWEN and Proph.

Old news, but yeah. This was easily one of the single biggest disappointments in GW:EN IMHO.

For resons of unlocking items in GW2 the HoM can only accept elite weapons from GW:EN, however it really should have a second(non unlock) tier for weapons that the players feel deserve to be displayed.
