M4V Video Conveter

Hi there, my mate and me made a video for our school on his Mac, and he exported it into the m4v format and gave it to me, now i want to do a bit of tweaking, which i can do easily enough however my video editor can't accept m4v format.

I've tried downloading loads of free converters but all of them will only let you convert 50% of the file, and i need the whole thing.

If anyone knows a good free m4v video converter i would be greatly appriciateive!

Well... .M4V is an mere "container" format, so we don't know what codecs were actually used for the audio and video streams. According to doom9's FAQ, M4V's created by Apple are often misnamed MP4's, so you might try renaming the file to .MP4 and letting Super(C) (or any other program that handles MP4's) take a crack at it.
