With a balanced party, extremely hard to die. Wow, i thought your mo/a smiter build posted in another section was bad enough. Now you've done it again!
Seriously, just stop posting builds.

You will bassicaly need to look for a build around Avatar of Melandru I guess. You have to take into account that the AI is less aggresive when you have a lot of health. Combination of AoM, HoF, MR and Imbue Health seems to be working for me (almost Indomitable Survivor, ok it isn't that much but it is working).
Watchful and Faithful Intervention are a waste of slots in this regard I guess, sorry Solus Spartan. They can keep you alive, but you don't need more than +6 regen when running AoM -with the exception perhaps of a few high level areas, but as always, different areas = different builds- and the actual save from these skills isn't that breathtaking.
For attack skills, when bringing AoM you have to take Wearying Strike. I'd also add Banishing strike for PvE in Factions and Victorious Sweep for the extra HP in general.

[skill]Avatar of Melandru[/skill] is not worth it. Too expensive in energy. Use Mending Touch with [skill]Avatar of Dwayna[/skill] instead. Removes 1 hex and 2 conditions plus gain health. That's your insurance.

It really is worth it.

Well true, Lyssa with mending touch IS pretty handy.

[skill]Victorious Sweep[/skill][skill]Eternal Aura[/skill][skill]Vital Boon[/skill][skill]Mystic Regeneration[/skill][skill]Avatar of Balthazar[/skill][skill]Faithful Intervention[/skill] Optional, Optional
This is how I got Legendary Survivor.
If you are careful, and have a balanced team, like mentioned above, you should not die.
Good Luck.
P.S. I usually had Capture Signet as one of my Optional Skills and Ebon Vanguard Assassin Support as the other.

And Lyssa, obviously.

Dwayna = fail in all but the most hex-heavy situations.
The survivor build I recommend is dwarven boxing - fast and risk-free.

The survivor build I recommend is dwarven boxing - fast and risk-free. You could be right if the dervish is running Dwayna on any seconary professions except D/Mo. IMO Dwayna's effects compliments very well with monk's skills especially Mending Touch.
A point to take note of is that somewhere around level 10 - 15, his dervish would be in Issnur Isles or Mehtani Keys. Those areas are notorious for hexes (E.g. Frozen Skales, Mandragors, 'those mesmer plants thingy'). All the more a dervish would be in need of Dwayna's Avatar. (Assuming the dervish could not get a ferry to Cantha or GWEN.)
IMO Melandru's should only be used once the dervish reach max level.

The hard part of survivor is tier3. If you can't even reach tier1 without dying, I'm really not sure what to say. Worst case, you can cheat and get a ferry to Consulate for pennies and pick up max armor - voila, lvl10~15 monsters do no damage to you.
Hexes that just degen typically aren't worth removing, especially when they're being cast by lvl10~15 monsters with almost no attribute in the linked stat. The kind of 'hex-heavy' that I'm talking about are areas that hex stack you to the point where you can't even do damage - snares, punishment hexes (empathy/SS), faint, clumsiness/inept, etc.
Honestly though, for survivor purposes, Kilroy's punchout is fast, safe, and class-independent.

Dude, his build is shit. Don't go down the AoB road.

Surprised no one said the f12+enter combo yet. Yes f12+enter is the only thing you need really just be careful not to over agro and if you do f12+enter.
Pyro maniac
2 builds, twice Avatar of Balthazar
what's wrong with you people
Dan is right, melandru saves you. No conditions and extra health will save you from spikes. Monks are there to heal
Dwayna looks good, however when you really need the heal, it only gives you a mere 60 health.
Balthazar ... +40 armor won't save you

Silly nub, G + guild hall button is better, f12 + enter keeps you in the area for several seconds longer.
Seriously though, I would recommend avatar of Lyssa (dead things do no damage lol) or Melandru, Dwanya in the rare case of otherwise uncounterable hex overload. Just make sure you have a good understanding of every area you are going in and never play with more then 2 pug players you don't know at a time (they gain power in herds).
