I was farming Gloom with my E/A and for about 10-20 runs I didn't get a single gemstone, then the next run I got one, and the run after that I got two of them. I feel this was Anet's way of saying sorry.

So many "green runs" in Sorrow Furnace with friends and guildies and never got a green. Then, one day, I went with a random PUG and got three greens!

Naw. My luck's always bad. The golds I do manage to get are req13 with a crippling and deathbane mod, and highly salvagable inscription.

my only wealth comes in the sheer volume of crap drops I get. I mean everything is worth something, so even those constant req 13 gold hammers with a 33% longer crippling duration are worth something.

usually when I do FoW I get maybe one shard if I am lucky.. however about a week ago I cleared it and for some reason I got 6 shards in a row.. needless to say everyone hated me

My turnaround came when I finally had a Sup.Rune of Vigor drop. Otherwise, I'm usually terrible at drops. Zaishan chest = Cremes, 150 Fortunes before I get a Mini Pig (to later find out I could get them at the end), Birthday presents = Devourers. Oh well...

Everything is just so random. I Guess my best luck turn came when I got a mini bone dragon as a present after not seeing any good drops for weeks. That funded my characters for a while...

About 15 minipets, the first 14 were whites, and then, BAM, a purple one. That my friends is what I call a turn-around.

Nah, my luck has always been the same. Only the first one or two green/gold drops are for me, the rest all go to someone else...

I had less than five whites [and nothing else] for several raptor runs in a row. Then three golds, in a row, all Turtle bows, dropped. It was pretty weird how I killed three raptors and three of the same item dropped.

Me and my girlfriend will do dungeons and what not. However, the reward chest at the end. I always get the lamest drops known possible, and she gets the ones that makes you 50K+. I don't see how she is so lucky compared to me...

I had some good luck just now. I had a terrible PUG with just about the worst monk ever. Decent healbot, but just about the snottiest attitude outside PvP. The one guy covered at least half the "what do you hate about other players" thread -- drawing on the compass, insulting everyone, high on the smell of his own piss. It was getting intolerable, but I stuck it out. My reward? An annoying mission completed, and in my inventory was two gold drops and a shiny new key. Plus some random helpful materials, insignias, and runes.

Ah well, my heroes appreciated the extremely rare weapon as they know I got it "the hard way" and I traded someone the elemental sword for a green I liked so they could pretend to have a "real" one.
Though, I do find my luck on 10-20k items to be better than what many people report (especially elite tomes), they just aren't insta-rich drops. That and I have been VERY lucky in my mini-pets, while none of the rare ones, with somewhere between 15-20 of them I only had two repeats (and they were both decent ones). Since I simply want to collect them, not sell them that is perfectly fine by me (though I still want a bone dragon dangit, just not bad enough to purchase one).

was doing dungeons after eotn launch, missed the preview dungeons becasue of time. did sulphucre 3 times got 2 lousy golds and a horrid green, then treid ravens point,every chest hadd a purple got a req 11 ele sword form endchest

well I have to say...my luckiest moment in gw was probably last night.....it didnt drop....but traded SUPER low for a r7 15^50 ^_^.

when was it supposed to have happened????? I'm the one who gets another diamond from the dungeon chest or a totally worthless green (not even worth what the diamond is)...and hidden treasures are always a few coins.
The only thing I get in abundance is dyes, get one just about every day I play, sometimes 2 ----got another black a few days ago.
(though when doing sf I have gotten greens with a full henchie party....another wroths holy rod and korvald dropped both his rod and focus for my nogru).

Last Thursday was a good day.
First of all out of 17 chests not a single lockpick broke (I'm used to 1 chest, 1 pick). Didn't get a single purple from any of them. Got a sup vigor, 4 major vigors, two junk shields, 1 with a +30 and 1 with -5 20%, I also got a sup rit tome.
Later on a crap gold focus dropped for me, turned out it had a forget me not 20% on it. Sold all that stuff, bought a req 11 elemental sword with 20/20 +30 on it for 22k (they were advertising it at 24). Salvaged mods, put on my own +5 20% and sold the others.
Of course nothing but normal tomes and crap purples have dropped out of locked chests for me since then.

The other night I was running Irontoe's Lair and had not only a gold axe with great mods, also had a shield drop with +30 health mod already on it. I never get decent drops lol.

The one time a few months after factions came out, I was doing Argoz's Warren, opened a chest, and got a 15^50 20% enchant zodiac sword. I never really payed attention to the GW economy and vanity items, so everyone told me themselves what it was worth.
Only worthwhile item I've gotten my entire GW life, but it's not so bad
