i think it would be nice for anet to bring this back because you can learn alot about other players and what makes them special and you could even be in it anytime im also seeing why anet hasnt updated this since the first player was put on it wow only one player and anet decided to give up and abandon it that fast?

Oh and also, just because WoW happens to have something, it doesnt mean its a good idea. Even ideas that are good wouldnt normally work when copied over to GW. Simply because the games are different.

What information would you show online that you cant display ingame? You can ping your skill bar, your equipment and your armor ingame already. There isnt alot else you would want to show. Plus unfortunately alot of people would start searching for players to see "if their good enough" to join their guilds or their teams.
People keep going on about how GWs is a skill based game and if we were able to find out information like titles, equipment, level or how many characters a player owns it might detract from that.
It would become "I must have a better profile then the other guy" competition.

I don't think its gone, probably don't have anyone, anything outstanding/special enough to feature and continue with that effort. Even if they ask me, I would definitely refrain from answering any personal questions. other then those related to game play, and if its only about game play, you don't need to feature a special players. becasue its almost all the same, and it would be boring stuffs, for instant,
players A - likes playing rangers, what build, where they farm, what they farm, waht are their favourite armor, what bow they use, which heros they like and why, it would be a standdard set of question and answers, what's their title etcetera, it would be done onces all the professions are featured. I think Its better to features a players fansite instead, if you want to be featured, make a website about GW, or keep a GW blog and submit it for featured fansite.
