Okay i have a suggestion for Guild Wars. Okay so you must have heard of the Necromancer build Minion Master. Its a good build but its one weakness is getting the first kill. Always minion masters have to throw away a good skill slot to over work themselves with an okay skill that they have to put new skills in, it's ridiculous! So here is an idea for a skill.

Name: Animate Corpse
Description: Animate 1..2 corpses to summon minions from.
Energy: 25
Recharge time: 15-20 seconds
Casting time: 5 seconds

Do you like it?

okay... no. One of the special abilities of Flesh Golem is you can pretty much always keep one up because it leaves a corpse. And just animating a bunch of minions would make a lot of non exploitable corpses areas way too easy

One of the disadvantages of an MM is that it takes some time to get going.

Besides you dont need to take a skill to kill things, you have team mates.

Besides, we already have this, it just involves having teammates sac themselves. Doesn't cost the MM anything.

I wouldn't mind an elite that made it so your next animating skill uses two corpses rather than one. But, not double the minions from one corpse. TWO corpses turned into minions, which means, if there's only one corpse, you'd waste it. It'd be good in AB to build up an army a little quicker. I'd say a 45 recharge, 10 energy, 2 second cast would be fine.

This, pretty much. The key to a good MM is momentum. Turn your enemy into one undead slave, then use that slave to kill more so you can have a couple of nasty vampire biters, then soon you've built an army of either Bleeding-inducing cannon fodder or a cluster of smaller minions orbiting a hell of a tank that you can bring back again and again. From the ground up.

Being able to make insta-hordes would beef up the MM to insane extremes. So, no... /notsigned. And [email protected]

There are a few areas in the game that are anti-MM. This would kinda ruin that, and then many folks would never learn one of the other awesome ways to play a Necromancer.

From what do you suggest we animate the corpses from?

I can see this happening only if you sacrificed health to near death with blood magic and bring to life replica that is your own image, then send your replica into battle, let it die and then make it into a minion.

Lets call it my blood your death.

So, you want to animate corpses, huh? You realize that animating a corpse would bring it back to life right? That's the opposite effect that you'd want...

You'd do better by stuffing a dead charr into your backpack to use later...

Pretty much agree with the rest of the replies, this would stop areas that are anti-mm and give mm's a huge boost which they don't need.

Right now MM's are only running at a fraction of their former glory. The timer was bad enough, we certainly don't need another nerf.

I think the current set up is enough to get us going, we don't really need a jump-start to set up another nerfing session.

It's so unfair that MM necroes have to obey the logical constraints of their builds.
