FoW clear
Jebus
Hello, I'd like to clear the Fissure of Woe, but I was wondering which quests I should do first? Or of what I should pay attention etc.
Thanks in advance!

Unlike UW, you can do them in any order. Taking multiple quest won't get you owned in a hurry. I suggest working towards the wailing lord first. Nice warm up to the more difficult areas.
Of course, Ursanway seems to be the most effective and time efficient. However, pretty much any build can kick ass down there with proper pulling and such.

Wiki it to find the locations of the quest givers

Solus Spartan
Clear the area's of all threats, e.g Forest, Battlefield, beach etc then and slowly quest/vanquish to avoid the mass of DP.
Takes time, but you'll do it eventually

The only thing I don't understand so far is the Wailing Lord. Can't I attack him or something? Or isn't he allowed to die?
Fried Tech
when you get to the wailing lord you will see a mob of enemies around him, and he will show up red on your map also. You want to kill everything around him by pulling them across the bridge. Then, he will turn green on the map once everything is gone. just make sure you DO NOT kill the wailing lord.

Everything went great, got about 6/11 quests completed.Then a griffon got killed by a shadow beast, I saw it while running back for shard wolves.
Damn =(
Damn =(

The griffon and the wailing lord quests are probablly the toughest two quests in FoW to pug. You should usually try to do those 2 first (rather then waste your time doing everything else and failing there).

I agree with HawkofStorms.
When you're doing a gift of griffons make sure to clear the path back to rastigans tower before getting the griffons to follow, makes it sooo much easier

However, this is a great argument against not using an MM in there because Minions are retards and will probably kill him. I did it with one other player and 6 heroes, and we were able to do it easily by the use of careful pulling.

I usually save the gift of Griffons quest for dead last. Reason is that there tends to be a patrol that spawns around the tower where you leave them at and that patrol will attack the griffons. Even if you completed the quest, they kill the griffons and then it's team wipe!

My friend and I heard about the Griffon problem and left it for last. Got the quest, left the griffons in their spawn place and then cleared the path all the way to the tower.
Once that was done we went back for the griffons and escorted them to the tower. Only spawns we had to fight were the ones for the Griffon quest.

Just did a FoW clearout with some guildies and this is what we did:
* Zone in, fight to Rastigan's tower.
* Take Tower of courage quest + reward. Take Wailing Lord quest.
* Kill mob behind the tower
* Head to the battle field, clearing popups along the way
* Pick up the Forgemaster quest and the Army of darkness from the two NPCs in the tent... thing.
* Go kill the monk boss.
* Get reward for Army of darkness.
* Get to Forge, get reward. Take the next quest, get reward.
* Take the two quests the forgemaster gives
* Get the quest from Nimrod, I mean, Nimros.
* Fight through Spider-cave.
* Kill the shard wolf on the other side of the cave
* Get reward for spider cave
* Pick up quest from Taeres
* Kill Lord Khobay
* Clear out the path towards the tower of strength.
* Go get the Mage from the temple (only one person needs to do this, the rest can just sit around for 5 mins)
* Go to burning forest, pick up quest from Miko. Do quest, get reward.
* Head towards the other forest
* Do Wailing Lord quest, pick up the griffon quest.
* Clear the path from forest -> Rastigan
* Lead griffons to Rasti.
* By now you should just have the one shard wolf left if you've been paying attention to the red dots around you throughout. Kill it. Done. Head back to Forgemaster for your reward chest
Few things to remember:
* Popups are annoying. They mostly exist on the battlefield. Watch where you tread.
* Hexes can rip a group apart. We had 4 hex removals in our team and still had a lot of pink bars.
* Don't kill the Wailing Lord. Bring a long/flat bow and pull the Banshees etc away from him.
* Consumables help, but are not necessary.
Have fun! FoW's possibly my favourite place in all of GW. Many a good memory from there

We were clearing FoW yesterday, Mo, N, R and Heroes (MM, SF, Dunkoro, Gwen, SF). We were on our 10th quest, finished Army of darkness (did them in the order displayed on Wiki). It was our first time, had only two deaths (live players not Heroes counted here).
Well, we were collecting at Kromril and went ahead to Burning forrest and this guy Miko the Uncahined was following us. When we hit the first group of foes we all suddenly died and "Return your party...".
Can someone tell me what happened? Was Miko supposed to survive (didn't care about him much)?
btw, it was our first ever run in FoW and at quest 10 the timer was 2hrs, is that good?

2 hours for how far along you were is pretty good, yeah
As for the wiping, yeah, it sounds like one of the NPCs died and for all of them (I think) if they die it's game over. Neither of the wiki's say what class he is, but it sounds like Miko may be a monk and was trying to heal a minion? (That sounds like monk behaviour, I could be way wrong though
)
It's also possible another NPC died and it was just a co-incidence, in particular, the griffons after you give them to Rastigan. They're known to bite it. They're out of range of Rastigan himself so he wont take damage, just the griffons, and there's a patrol down that end that sometimes triggers an NPC death. Or possibly the Tower Mage. But if Miko was with you, there's a good chance he bit it.
If you go again with a MM, I'd suggest flagging it away so it's nowhere near quest/reward givers in case one of them decides to follow the minions.
Stupid NPCs. Sigh.

thanks Kamara, we were discussing today about what happened and one of the other guys said he clicked Miko just to check if he has something to give
So I guess we might triggered him to follow us.
But on the other hand, Tower Mage probably burnt so much Energy that he'd never before trying to heal the Minions (kept a few alive after almost 30mins)
as we took a weewee break and coffee time - that could happen with Miko.
