Personally, I don't like most of the FoW armor styles. Although the Ranger's FoW gear isn't too bad IMO.

while I'm much to poor to afford any FoW armor I really do like the necro and rit set.

thats the thing....I like to play all of my characters...but getting FoW or sumthin for them gives me a big incentive to play with them xD....I know it sounds kind of weird...but thats kinda how I am >...<.

I have the ele set and really like it, and the monk and mesmer look great. I'd get one of those.

My fave of those listed is the mesmer. The ranger and monk are a close second.

In my opinion the only Obsidian armor set that's that much better than the other elite armors to justify its cost is Paragon. The others range from "bad" to "alright, but not worth that." A lot of them just bore me.

Personally, I like the Ranger FoW best ( <--- see Avatar ). I've always liked the monk armor too, but I don't play my monk often enough to justify the expense. Next in line would be the Mesmer, but what I like to do is combine the Mesmer FoW chest piece with pieces from other sets, like this:

or

I've noticed, btw, that some (if not all) armor looks better on yourself, rather than on other people. It seems to be some sort of "graphics" thing, but I don't know why it is. For example, I've always found the FoW Warrior armor to look sort of fuzzy on other people, but it looks sharp and clear on my female Warrior - however, the FoW Warrior armor would not be my first choice.

This happens in towns and outposts on other players' armor. You see your own character at the full graphic detail you have set in Options, but the game seems to drop the texture detail down for others. In explorable areas, you see their armor at full detail as well.

This appears to be a hidden Level Of Detail management thing in the game engine. I kinda wish I could turn it off.

If I was going to get a FOW set, it would definitely be on my Paragon. That set freakin rawks! Ele is a close second imo.

That is the only armour combo I've ever seen that actually looks good! :O Good design!
