I am thinking about all the players that likes to pug and how they wish to get rid of the Heros systems. And while helping out a low level player today I have this idea coming to mind and wish to share it, could be good, probably bad and might be abuse, thats why its in the Sardelac Sanitarium.

when you redo a low level mission to get bonus, notice that you don't get much experience points, sometime its 0 per kill. this is my suggestion, if you take under you a low level in your mission you will get the same amount of experience point as the low level would instead of 0. kind of a bonus for helping someone out.

what say you?

For Frodo!!!!!!!

okay, we're in GW not lord of the rings :P

Eh, considering that experience has really no need at all because of tomes, this isn't really needed. Interesting ideas, but I think the bonus should be reverted and the low level gets double experience so long as they have at least 1 death (making survivor useless), and be under the level of 20.

It's not like XP's hard to get, especially if you have Factions or GW:EN.

Also, what's the point of rewarding people for kindness if they're only railroading newbs for a shot at a prize? Helping low levels is its own reward, and I already do it often.

no no no, sorry if the post sound like you help becasue of the experience point, its sort of a pat on the back from Arena Net, for the spirits of helping another player.

For instant a northern wall mission, with any of my current level 20s character I can complete that mission solo without partying, it would be fast too, I don't have to bring a party of 4 and divide the loot, can pretty much runs through it. and saves a lot of time at that.

A lot of player would not take with them a low level in a situation like this because it will lenghten (spelling, make longer) the time it takes to complete the mission, even longer with bonus, because you think of other players, and took the time to help someone else, you gain the extra experience where normally you would not.

like a cheer.

Seems pretty pointless. Getting low amounts of xp for helping lower levels isn't going to encourage anyone to help them.

its the helping that counts actually, and the extra little experience points is like "way to go matey!, you help a stranger today"

I know what you're trying to say, but extra xp isn't going to encourage anyone to help lower levels. People who didn't help lower levels still wouldn't, and people who did wouldn't really be affected seeing as you'd need to help alot to get a skill point.

Encouraging players to help others is never a bad thing, it's just that extra xp isn't really going to encourage anyone.

theres helping newbies and theres rushing newbies, just as long as people won't be in missions spamming "lv.20 party lv. low levels, whisp me!", it would be like a guy with level 28 with lv.28 heros helping you with G.o.M. first try ti'll take thetoughness and annoyance out of it, leaving you with a sense of no accomplishment as you will have heard how hard it was.

still as long as they help them freely and not for a motive i dont mind

If you want to get rid of hero system you are fail. And your idea is fail too. Although level does not matter in guildwars, lower levels can manage the missions they are at perfectly fine. If they are having problems with the missions, there is an official wiki that can help them with it. Your idea is pretty much promoting power level. If someone is new to the game it is better for them to play with people of a similar level as they also learn to play the game that way, as opposed to having a lvl 20 run them through the mission so that they dont learn it themselves.

Yea thats true, XP is a bit.... usless. And if your helping somone expecting a reward its not really kindness at all, its like saying you do your job out of kindness O_o.

No harm implementing this, but i doubt it would make anyone help newbies out more than they already do, somthing more tangeble would just lead to people coming to run people thorugh missions for the sake of a reward.

I help low lev's when I am bored; I helped a 14 warrior get to Kamadan for no reason other than I remember how much it sucked trying to get there by myself...

You can't buy good will w/ xp, and stripping away useful resources like heroes just pisses people off...
