Just wondering if I'd get banned for using something off this list:

http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Guide..._modifications

Specifically the one that changes how adrenaline skills are displayed, making it more clear how much you have/need. Not sure of Anets stance on 3rd party stuff :O

Textmod and everything it does is legal.

I see some transparent window mods. Now I'm tempted.

I think ANets stance on most 3rd party stuff is "Use at your own risk". You can be pretty sure that if your GW gets screwed or your account gets high-jacked, you won't get much help from them.

Note to Jade: 3 words: not e-nuff said.

Anets stance on Texmod is you can use it, and you won't get banned. However, if you have a problem connected to Texmod, they cannot and will not help you.

It's on the official wiki site, so of course you won't get banned for it.

Anet dislikes thrid party software, however they do not mind Texmod as it does not (usually, that is) do anything that gives one player an advatage over another in gameplay. Of course, that being said this also means that the cartographer mods have mixed reactions within the community.

It's been asked many times before, and the answer has always been the same: not illegal, just that Anet won't help you if you get hacked or it screws over your computer/version of Guild Wars you have installed.

I considered that, but it IS a wiki. You could put something illegal on there and it might last awhile >.>

As long as it's not something like an automated program, I think A-net could care less. I mean, if you're botting and whatnot to farm gold, that's cheap and unfair. But if you're altering the textures and the like, it's fair game.

It has been on there for a LONG time and is well known - so it just can't be the usual issue of a wiki being editable by anyone.

However, Anet has officially given their stance that Texmod is OK. Texmod doesn't actually alter the program, it alters the textures used in memory. From a pure technical standpoint that is still "altering the Guild Wars program", but they have said they do not see it that way.

I suppose you should pretty much use your own judgment here also - if someone finds some real hack that is possible through texmod it *will* get the ban hammer to use it. But as of right now there are none known to the community at large and for the most part there *shouldn't* be any hack using texmod that isn't instantly obvious that it will result in the ban hammer (I mean, if you can use it for a buffer overrun attack then it is obvious to not use it).
