Are there any more expansions?

Or is the next release Guild Wars 2?

The next announced release is GW2. However, that said, ANet has stated that while no more expansions, etc are planned for GW1, that doesn't mean they won't decide to do more in the future, just that none are currently planned.

Agree with the above. ANet will do whatever is most profitable, and at this point, that sure looks like going full force into GW2. Doesn't rule out stuff like the Bonus Mission Pack coming along in the future, though.

Seems unlikely for anything big enough for retail.

Might depend upon how long it takes to get GW2 up and running.

I think that's just in reference to how they canceled Chapter 4 and whatever else they had planned for GW1 and decided to just go with EoTN instead.

i better have a badass game called GW2 than more expansions. I hope really really hope that the graphics from gw2 are 10x better than they are in gw cuz damn this game looks like ps2 and no i dont run it on s***** pc just got used to x360 graphics lol

Theres only been one expansion.

Lets hope no more expansions nor new chapter before gw2. However its still two year before gw2 is actually out in shops. I wonder will it actually take so long...

Which pretty much reinforces that they are hard at work on GW2 and done with GW1 besides updates, which they stated might (probably will) also stop eventually.

The one good thing i got out of that interview besides the GW2 info was that they said they will keep the GW1 serves going as long as people still want to play it

Unlikely that it will be so long, i think that figure was from quite a while ago itself? And if they are canceling campaigns and stating GW2 comes sooner then fans think, im guessing a LOT sooner Hoping they don't waste time on more expansions or campaigns tho myself.

The article being quite old, it's sooner than what people knew at that time, which correspond to what we know now: tentatively beta in 2008, game in 2009/2010.
