My favorite mission would have to be Frost Gate.

Two words: "Rurik! No!"

Tihark Orchard ftw.

It looks alive and for once actually feels like a mission.
All the other missions are "....The worlds in danger....we are sending you 8 men to fight an entire army, a god, and then some torment dudes!. Were sending you 8 men against a killer disease that mutates people, an envoy, the assassin of our former emperor, and against a Twisted dragon!. We're sending you 8 men into the crystal desert and then you can go fight Titans...."

Im sorry no..

Tihark orchard.
We need political support in this war, we need to exhaust every resource we can get our hands on.
So you send someone to take care of this.
Unfortunately your proposals are crashed, someone set you up the bomb!

It's also beautiful, has the most originality in a mission...You solo it, its just awesome.

Eternal grove is okay...in NM mode, hard mode can go to hell (if you want bonus T_T)

I looove playing the Consulate Docks. It just feels rather epic for me. Plus, when I hook it up to 5.1 surround, it's even better.

Consulate Docks and Dzagonur Bastion because they make you feel like part of a larger conflict, Tihark Orchard because it's such a great change of pace, Hell's Precipice because it requires some forethought and careful play and because [SPOILER] you get to (re)kill Rurik.

If we're counting mission-like quests from EotN I'd throw in Against the Charr and Assault on the Stronghold, both for their tactical feel and for the opportunity to kick some Charr ass again after all this time.

It's the only time our heroes have to personally handle the political/people side of the story. Every other time there was some support to be gained or w/e an NPC handled it and we just had to be the muscle in the battles. In fact now that I think about it NF is about the only campain in which our characters personally handled a lot of the political side of things as well as the battlefield side.

The mix of the two made Nightfall's story a lot more fun imo. Even defending yourself for killing General Kayet (is that the right one?) before the consulate was a nice switch up instead of a cutscene. though it's a rather annoying argument with morghan it still added a lot of depth to the story.

That being said I also really like the missions with big battles, not just a lot of enemies to fight, but a lot of allies fighting a lot of enemies alongside you. I loved Consulate docks, it was the first time I really felt like we were actually in a war.

I luv it.
Thats not really "GW2", actually well I can't say that. What I mean to say is that its more like... Persistent world PvP (L2, WoW, etc etc) where you can kill any enemy you see anytime with a very bare minimum rule of conduct (kurzick vs luxon). Really gives it more of a realistic feel, opposed to say... 16 people joining together to bash each others brains out while running around with a flag.

In GW2 I hope they have persistent world pvp, but with races as the bare minimum rule of conduct instead. Although, GW lore really isn't deep enough to support something like that with out contradicting itself up the ass.

Nolani Academy and The Great Northern Wall. Loved those two. Running from the Charr and fighting on a tilted ruin were my fondest memories of Guild Wars.

Thunderhead Keep, or the Frost Gate. Seeing Rurik die, or defending the castle at the end is just fun. With the right groups anyway.

The cutscene at the end when it all gone fubar was the best imo.
