I've had it with these...Drakes on a plain.

We'll yeh, currently attempting to farm the quest "Drakes on a plain" in HM with 55 mo/n with Spiteful Spirit.

My current progess

*Can kill irontooth & steelfang drakes easily killed with careful pulling to prevent aoe scatter
*Lighting Drakes/grand/ have semi-spammable Kd, Mind Shock.
*Sand drakes have Kd
*Obsdian's have burning and immunity to spell and are quite durable from flare + aura of restore spam

I think will work,

[skill]Spiteful Spirit[/skill][skill]Protective Spirit[/skill][skill]Shield of Absorption[/skill][skill]Shielding Hands[/skill][skill]Healing Breeze[/skill][skill]Blessed Aura[/skill][skill]Balthazar's Spirit[/skill] & Last skill "I am unstoppable!"

So, has anyone esle tried ths with a different build with success? I'll be trying other builds shortly. I don't have a high norn rank so can't test with I am yet.

Most probably a Smiter/600 could do this. Since the Obsidians have Obsidian Flesh it would take some time to cast SS etc.. :]

I'm pretty sure a Obs Tank Ranger with stoneflesh/striker/storm chaser/barrage worked a while back, but i think it was in NM, dont know how different it is.

I can kill them with 55Sp,but the Kd is anoying and you have to hide behind a rock to kill the obsidians.

What I use, takes 8min a run.

I would try 600/smiter with the 600 bringing fleeting stability or mystic regeneration. And if you can't find a smiter I'd go with a 55 Mo/D mystic regeneration and fleeting stability with SoJ

I was using that, it's just so dam slow. And the melee drakes overwhelm mystic regen, so you need soa, and obsdian drakes give high degen. So it's not that simple.

Unfortunately, i have neither atempted or come up with my own build to farm this quest. However, i can't say im not curious, any news on gold inscribable chaos axes dropping?
