Ritualists in PvP
Thy Shadow Stalker
I love my rit. Only problem is that he uses spirits with high energy and long recharge times. That isnt much of a problem in PvE because of "summon spirits" the luxon/kurzick skill. But, in PvP, it is nearly useless to use spirits because by the time their up the battle is over. Any suggestions on a PvP build that uses sprits?

It's not a good idea to have a build revolving around spirits in PvP. Well....outside of AB and whatnot. Spirits are fragile & immobile. Your mobility is limited as well, and that's not a good thing at all. You're basically adding ranger npcs without a snare and self heal, or a 3 second (if that) defense system, and there are a LOT of more effective niches you can fill, as a rit.
I suppose you can take [skill]Ritual Lord[/skill] and [skill]Serpent's Quickness[/skill]. I believe their effects stack, but i would recommend against a Rit Lord build. It takes very little skill to play, and it's very much on par with the Touch Ranger.

In PVP, refering to RA in particular, when I play offensive spirit spam, I use these skills:
My Spirits:
[skill]Wanderlust[/skill][skill]Shadowsong[/skill][skill]Dissonance[/skill][skill]Pain[/skill]
My survival skills:
[skill]Mend Body and Soul[/skill][skill]Weapon of Warding[/skill]
and my new spirit swiss-knife skill: [skill]Swap[/skill]
Swap is what makes this build fun. As I have mention in another thread, it provides mobility for spirit placement, escape mechanism for the rit, outwit interrupt, and the joy of seeing melee attacker's frustration chasing you around.
Swap also works on enemy spirits and minions.
When the spirits are recharging, I just use MBaS and Weapon of Warding around as needed.
A spirit spammer with a decent monk player usually promise a win.
But, most of the times nowadays, I usually go as resto-chan rit in PVP, for build tests and tweakings.

You are all bad, take [wiki]warmongers weapon[/wiki], it's the most horrendously b0rk3d skill in GW at the moment. [wiki]weapon of shadow[/wiki] is also decent. Channeling has some really cool weapon spells. Oops, silly me, forgot [wiki]ancestor's rage[/wiki]. Don't lower yourself to spirit spam, it's not nearly as strong as it used to be anymore.
One thing about support units like Ritualists in, say, AB. You need a solit team to get the best out of it. You can't support people that run off and have no clue.

Syntonic
I've still seen people run rit-way in TA but it wasn't spirit spam. You'll find some spirit strength/sight beyond sight assassins along with a few spirits/healer. Not really a remarkable set up though.

[skill]Warmonger's Weapon[/skill][skill]Spirit Light[/skill][skill]Spirit Transfer[/skill][skill]Bloodsong[/skill][skill]Life[/skill][skill]Weapon of Remedy[/skill][skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill] + optional ([skill]Resilient Weapon[/skill][skill]Recovery[/skill][skill]Ancestors' Rage[/skill][skill]Wailing Weapon[/skill])
spirit of defeat
Now a days i mainly do PVP with Caretaker's Charge in AB and spirt spam in RA

The OP asked for builds that use spirits, so I went and post on that premise.
Spirit spam is not lowering yourself to something, it is an option a ritualist can choose to play.
Anyway, the longer we play our ritualist, the more we realized the strength of other skills in different situations.
My take.

My take. Sry, I sounded a bit trolly back there :P. I just wanna say that spirit spam isn't too good. There's much meaner things you can do with a rit, unless you want to go full restoration. And I just can't imagine a good rit build without warmonger's, untill they nurf it that is :P. If you must go spirit spam, there isn't much wrong with the spirits you selected indeed.

Is it a good idea to rely on your wammos actually attacking casters, instead of riposte-dueling?

Most melees I play with go straight for the monks and they forget about everything else usually. You got a point though. Chances are that you won't get a long streak with wammos like that anyway, no matter what you bring.
Pyro maniac
you can always bring both [skill]Wailing Weapon[/skill] and [skill]Warmonger's Weapon[/skill]
Kwan Xi
If your going to spirit spam I find the essential spirit to bring would be Displacement. Cast that in the back of your line and then start setting up spirits. With a little luck Displacement can cover you from attacks and most ranger spikes and when it collapses you should have 1-2 attack spirits up and running.
I find Spirit Spammers still fun to play in RA as long as your own team is near your spirits range and the other team is stupid enough to run head long into your spirit army.

spirit of defeat
Remember that Prot spirits cover ALL alies there for don't use it in AB, especially if there is a MM around.
Sadly enough Spirit Spam if nerfed

If you're going to do a spirit spammer, only do it in RA and wait for the other team to rush in (because they usually do). Just bring Wanderlust, Anguish, Pain and some other damage spirits along with [skill]Painful Bond[/skill]. Oh and [skill]Bloodsong[/skill] is a pretty good (and obvious) choice since you're already putting some points in Chanelling.
Ancestor's rage isn't necessary, but it's cool if you have an idiot that just rushes in a mob.

spirit of defeat
with spirt spam [skill=text]Serpent's Quickness[/skill] is usefull combines well with [skill=text]Troll Unguent[/skill] for self healing.
