Quick question about GW2

I was just wondering, when GW2 comes out, will we still be able to play number one? If not, will we have to pay for GW2? If (no for #1/yes for #2) then that would be really unfair, wasting all of our money on GW and expansions :P

GW1 will still be playable.

Beta testing begins some time in 2008, which means release is still 2-3 years from now. And even if Anet does close the GW1 servers when GW2 comes out(though they have said they will remain open), how is that wasting money when you've had 4-5 years worth of gameplay?

GW2 will have no monthly fee.
