Lab Space - need help with Brimm

A friend and I were doing the Quest called Lab Space, trying to find Oola or whoever. We had killed the monster and were told to talk to Brimm, who was close to the near by town. We map traveled to the town in hopes to save some walking time.

We noticed that Brimm was in the town and proceeded to talk to him. He gave us both 2000exp and ended the Quest. Brimm is not outside the town as he was before we map traveled back to the town. As of right now it appears we cannot complete The Knowledge of Asura Quest because enlisting Oola is not comlpeted, though the Lab Space Quest is Completed and removed from the Quest log.

Am I missing something here?

When you meet Oola during Lab Space quest you automatically should be getting 2,500 xp without Blimm's help. I think you may have done Oola's Lab Quest for the "dungeon" quest instead of lab space.
