Heroes & AI: Heroes & AIs?
Moloch Vein
I have one simple question that I haven't managed to find a conclusive answer to.
Do all GW heroes have the same AI?
Do all GW heroes have the same AI?
Cathode_Reborn
I've never noticed any difference....but heroes with different species can't transfer disease to humans so there's a slight advantage sometimes.

I have no idea if anyone else notices this, but (even when on guard or similar, using same builds etc etc), Vekk seems to like to get in the middle of a fight instead of staying in the back like Zhed seems to do so well. Ogden seems to stay put better than Dunkoro. Olias gets right in the fight more than Master of Whispers does when an MM.
Jora is a damn Leeroy compared to Koss. She also just LOVES to res at any opportunity, I had to remove a res from her because of that tendency. Koss doesn't do it nearly as often.
Everything else seems to work ok to me, but those few point out to me quite often.
Morghan seems to be the most intelligent Hero, but maybe thats just because hes a Paragon .

I always thought it was just me, but my Vekk is suicidal. I'll be going in one direction, only to notice hes fighting some random group of monsters, despite being set on guard. Never noticed it with Sousuke or Zhed though.

Put livia as SS and see who's leeroy. Even zhed doesn't extend as much.
Boren Supremecy
my livia is SS and she sticks right by my side and never aggros

Do you have her on guard, or attack? For the most part, heroes don't extend too badly from guard. I almost never use the attack setting, because all of them will run all over the place if you do.

A lot of people say they see a difference. I personally dont notice any differences.
You also have to remember we have posts here about how players get better drops when using a monk with a pink staff and doing the dance emote 5 times before killing anything. People will try and find a pattern in anything. kel77
I must say that I have noticed that Vekk loves pain. He runs and aggros huge groups at the most inopportune times, however; I don't have NF so I can't really compare to the ele heroes from that campaign.
Vekk is really the only hero I have complaints against, besides Ogden spamming Prot spells on minions. cyber88
For me, there is a big difference when I use Olias vs Masters as a MM. Olias tends to be more willing to raise minions and sending them to attack the mobs while Masters like to sit behind & do nothing.
The Meth
Everyone wants to think they figured out something special or different that will make them better. I personally dont believe it just because i dont think they would code a seperate AI for each hero
Terraban
All heroes are equally retarded.

I think it's all in you're head...all the hero's seem equally stupid to me. I've witness them to do a great many stupid things...and unfortunately, they are all guilty of it. Master of whispers doing a suicidal run into a mob...Dunkoro standing there at full energy yet refusing to heal someone who's about to die. Jora running into a mob despite being out of aggro range and not being told to attack. The list goes on... tmr819
I have a question about Hero/hench AI that I hope someone can answer.
How would a Hero or hench assign something like [skill]Protective Spirit[/skill] to a party member? I am just curious as to how AI prioritizes the use of various skills, particularly the buff/protective-type spells and skills. Is there a "method to their madness"? Xylia

They may prioritize healing targets by class or skill set, but I haven't really noticed this. The only instance I know of this is that the AI will res in the following order:Human with hard res Hero/Hench with hard res Human with lit res sig Hero/Hench with lit res sig Human with no res or used res sig Hero/Hench with no res or used res sig I'd be interested to know if they prioritize healing/prot targets in a similar manner.

Gwen is more leeroy than Norgu for whatever reason, perhaps Norgu is too fat to move around meh.
I set them both to aggressive normally so they don't just train on the target I'm attacking, and I find that Gwen likes to run up to the frontlines for no apparent reason besides getting bashed in the face by physicals while Norgu just stays in the back and does his job.

Are you running the same skills on each of them when you are testing this out?
If one of them as a touch skill, or "half the normal range" kind of skill, they'll run into the mobs. If all they have are ranged skills, they don't. At least, that's been my experience.

E: no half range/touch skills on her bar.
