time/weather?

Just a quick simple question for anyone who plays. Is there weather and time changes in the game ex. day/night, rain, etc.

There are some weather conditions prevalent in some parts of the game, like for example it snows in the southern Shiverpeaks in Prophecies. Although it would be really cool, the day/night change does not occur.

As Booooya, said, there's no actual day/night cylcing in the game. There are, however, a few maps where it's night, which is a little disconcerting when you've just passed through a portal from a map where it was day, and then exit out the other side into day again.

What the others have said is true. What would be nice is if there were more environmental affects. In the Nightfall Drought mission, you are under an environmental affect the whole time (provided you don't shut down pumps). Also, Dragon's layer has environmental affects.

It would just be nice to be an Water Ell and have a bonus while in a snowy environment. There is a certain amount of logic to that. Who knows, maybe in GW2.
