Mo/X HM Raptor farm possible?

Ok, I've read the W/Rt, E/A and A/E raptor hatching farming guides, but I'm wondering if it's possible to do with a M/x? So far I've tried the standard 55 Mo/De SoJ and 55 Mo/Ne SS, but of course the interrupts absolutely pwn me.

I've been experimenting with some anti-interrupt skills like the mesmer stances and ele glyphs, but so far (either my lack of skill, or poor builds) I've not been able to take either the young or mature raptors using this method.

Any tips? Or is it impossible? I'm looking for a fun way to get loot+azuran points on my monk, so "Roll an A/E" doesn't really work.

[card]Protective Spirit[/card][card]Shielding Hands[/card][card]Shield of Absorption[/card][card]Mantra of Resolve[/card][card]Stonesoul Strike[/card][card]Shield of Judgment[/card][card]Balthazar's Spirit[/card][card]Blessed Aura[/card]

As long as you aggro the whole cave, it'll work. The energy removal won't mess you up at all as long as you cast smartly. I did that to farm the Kveldulfs and it worked perfectly, albeit it was a bit slow for those monsters. I didn't try it on the Raptors yet because my monk isn't that far yet.

I've used a build like this one, only without sonestoul had a maintainable enchant there [card]Essence Bond[/card] I guess

It worked only on NM, you can do it on HM with that build but you will need to get the raptors struck at a wall, so they wont keep running away.
on NM the drops arent that good tho, I did it last weekend for the event items which dropped pretty well

I was doing that as 600/smite (in HM) with Mantra of Resolve, it seemed to work rather nice. Could hit all the nestings + normal raptors

Hrm, perhaps it was my lack of experience with mantra of resolve. I'll give that another try tonight with the builds you've suggested.

Mantra's are stances though, won't the nestling's knock you out of the stance with Wild Strike?

Also I suggest throwing [skill]Channeling[/skill] in there.

Twisting Jaws would pwn any 55 monk.

same thing as the W/Rt run, aggro with pacience and get them stuck on that plant, no elite required

I've killed a few HM Raptor Hatchlings with the following. It's slow as hell though because they scatter. Searching for a way to solve this problem. (What is this "Get them stuck on the plant." method of which you speak?)

[skill]Protective Spirit[/skill][skill]Shielding Hands[/skill][skill]Shield of Absorption[/skill][skill]Mantra of Resolve[/skill][skill]Blessed Aura[/skill][skill]Balthazar's Spirit[/skill][skill]Shield of Judgment[/skill][skill]Radiation Field[/skill]

edit: I found the "stuck on the plant" thing with the W/Rt video. I will try that with the above build tonight.

degen kill with radiation field. if u get them stuck in the plant (it's in the w/rt video), they will not scatter, and if you agrro them all in the same side of the plant, 3 radiation fields (i'm rank 6 asura) are more than enough to kill all in one.

you could do the boss with 150 hp, shielding hands and SoA will still stop the dmg while you have enough health to survive the twisting jaws you would only have to drop SoJ for mending or so

Or perhaps a 600 monk can do it

Protective spirit
Spirit bond
Shield of absorption
Mantra of resolve
Radiation field
Blessed Aura
Balthazar's spirit
Optional

Haven't tried it yet since i have an ele......but for a 55 i would think the following would work well....

Mo/Me (9 inspiration, the rest is normal for a 55 monk)

Protective Spirit
Shielding Hands
Shield of Absorbtion
Mental Block (the raptors WILL be kind enough to maintain it for you)
Mantra of Resolve
Channeling
OPTIONAL
OPTIONAL

Use both the optionals for attacks. Prime candidates would be SoJ and Echo. I don't see how this build could fail TBH, but i dont have my 55 monk to rata sum to try it out. With the 50% blocking of mental block, and the short cast times of spells.....coupled with channeling, energy should not be an issue. You should have full energy all the time and never take 1 point of damage. Looks like a cookie-cutter build to me.

Somebody try it out and let me know.

EDITED: Replaced HB/Mending with SoA/SH for mass aggro. Should kill everything but the boss pretty easily. You're just not going to kill boss with a 55.....no way around the life stealing.

I did it 600/smite with mantra of resolve. Took out all the nestings and normal raptors. Did the boss too. Just added in Mark Of Protection just incase spirit bond got interupted.

They do remove mantra of resolve(normal raptors). But when you take em on its only ~3-4 at a time so its not that big a deal. Also thats why i added in Mark Of Protection, just incase spirit bond got interupted. They die pretty fast too, so you could pre cast prot spirit, spirit bond, SoA then just run in and watch em die :>
