Until GW2 comes out, what good is there in placing statues in the HoM if people can only see them if they go in with you ?

So what I propose is that an NPC is added or altered so that you can talk to it, enter a characters name, then enter their HoM without being in a party with them.

Players will get the option to enable their HoM to be viewed by this NPC and the default setting will be that the NPC won't show people your HoM.

If you go into another players HoM, it will be in a separate instance to them so that you don't cause them problems with capping the Rainbow Phoenix, or for that matter give them any indication that you were there (unless you tell them). Naturally you will not be able to cap a Rainbow Phoenix from any HoM except your own.

There's nothing to steal there, and they can't add thing to my Hall, and even if hey could, that would be good for me, not for them.

I can't be again'st it, althought I doubt it happening.

Sure why not. It can't hurt anything, especially if we can choose to have it public or not, and I'm all for choice.

I was hoping for something like this when GW:EN was first released. I wanted to see what different statues/rewards/armor would look like in the HoM so I knew what I wanted to work on for having in my HoM.

It'd be fun standing in awe of someone else's glory... well maybe not.

It'd be cool though.

/signed, as long as there is an option to choose whether you want to make it public or not. I'd show the HoM for the characters I play the most, but wouldn't want anyone seeing the Halls of some of my lesser-played toons.

I think the Rainbow Phoenix should be viewable, but other players are unable to capture or kill it. Also, you should have an option to be able to allow people to go into your hall, incase you don't want your hall to be publically viewed.

It would also be neat if you could make it like the Guild Hall system, where if someone is visiting it, you can go in with your friends and meet up with them.

cool idea
but,
/Undecided

Only because everything in the HoM is purely generic, unless they gave us more freedom to put what's in it and it somehow displayed differently from someone else's. ie Weapons monument destroyer-only, armors full set only. You get the idea. .."...Been there...Done that...Seen it Already...etc."

But I thought if you took someone else in with you if we're the party leader they could view it anyway?
Now no offense I don't mind showing mine off but I'm honestly not gonna take the time to look at anyone else's lol. So I don't blame you if you don't look at mine XD

Though it would be nice to have the option to just randomly view someones HOM as well. I wouldn't mind spending a few hours looking at the great accomplishments others have made, it would be like a GW museum.

I like it! Maybe even have a list of the most visited ones (so you don't have to enter random people's names to find a good one).

At worst it'd only serve to show people armor sets on a specific-looking character. That alone would be enough to make most people happy with the addition, but I'm doubtful that Anet would be able to add such a thing.

Some poeple have some very impressive titles, minis, pets, etc and whats the point of all that if noone is going to know you have it?
