Well, needless to say, I've noticed something very strange for the past 3 days; In Shing Jea and Piken Square (The only two towns I've tested it on so far) district 1 is completely empty. Yet district 2-3 and so on of these towns are packed! What gives? I'm sure everyone knows district 1 of any town is always packed, and the lower districts have the lesser numbers of people, naturally.
So my question is, has anyone else noticed this? If you haven't seen it, go look right now and check it out, it's wack.
PS: I don't think this is some conspiracy or movement by the people, but rather no one is spawning in district 1 anymore, and when more districts pop up, they all go to the next lowest one. Cause at the first sight of me noticing this, Shing Jea district 2 was the hot spot, now it's 3, so just an observation.) Soon I will go check more towns for this.

I've noticed this in Umbral Grotto while grouping to do Slaver's Exile the past two days. Not so much in other outposts, but then again I haven't bothered to pay attention when I'm just moving through.

My wife mentioned this earlier tonight, and brought my attention to it. We were in Longeye's Ledge International district 2. We saw that there were about 3 other people in the outpost with us, and for no particular reason, she decided to skip over to district 1. Sure enough - not a soul there except her. Really weird thing, there.

I noticed this mostly in Kamadan, but you're right. There are about 10 districts, and only 1,2,8-10 seem busy, the rest seem deserted. Is it possible this is just the servers being hiked up to accept the higher number of players they expect for Wintersday?

So I guess I am not the only one who noticed this today. I found it very weird. Kamadan American 1 was packed. District 2 had maybe 10 people and there were about 9 districts total. I just wonder if they are trying something new to combat the lag for Wintersday.

Never gave it much of a second thought, but I noticed it this morning in Yak's Bend.
I arrived in D2, which was packed, but my mate was in D1. When I switched to D1, it was just her, myself, and 4 others.
Again, didn't really give it much concern. Pretty much just thought it was a random freak occurance, but after seeing this thread I am retracting that previous assumption.

Yeah, I noticed a lot of this too because I tend to head for Dis1 automatically. I assumed it was because they're preparing for the server crush on Wintersday.

I noticed Shing Jea was unusually empty, but didn't think much of it, and didn't check the other districts. I'll have to reserve my spot on server 1 early for Wintersday.

I went to balth temple yesterday to try and sell zaishen keys..
As it was 11pm GMT i decided to checkout american districts as it should be busier.. 5 to choosse from!
So i mapped to dist 1.. 5 people there, wtf?
Dist 2.. same thing.. all 5 districts wouldn't even fill 1

This is A-nets way of showing that alot of people are playing. More districts equal there's more people playing.

I've also observed that D1 in many places is less populated. LA was the first place I noticed the trend - D3 seems to be the hot spot there.

This is strange but what servers were you guys/girls in. From the looks of the posts it is hitting all international dist. not sure since im at work. but I did not notice anything strange last night in American dists.

I checked yesterday right after work and everything was working just fine for me. (this was befor the update)

And yes, as was the case with Brianna, I have noticed this in the American districts. I havn't looked at the European districts. And I have noticed that this shunting isn't the case in the International districts.
