Okay, I'm getting Nightfall for Christmas, and I have a question.
When a character created in Elona comes to Tyria, what is the mission setup? Do I start with the Kryta missions and move through Maguuma, etc. or do I have to basically run to Ascalon City and start the missions there?

Prophecies is good in that you don't have to start at any particular mission. This means that a Nightfall character coming to Tyria can start at the maguuma forest missions or even skip all the way to Thunderhead Keep (if he/she can find a runner). However, since from Thunderhead Keep onwards it's very linear, you can't skip past Thunderhead Keep. Still, you can start from any other mission (or not do them at all)

you will arrive in Lion's Arch so from there you can do which ever missions you really like----however, the first mission that you will get xp for finishing and bonuses is seaboard. Feel free to skip around (my 'foreign' characters usually do a few of the easy ones-seaboard and divinity-- and then run to sanctum kay, do the ascension missions in the desert and get to dorks---most of them havent progressed beyond dorks, though I found you can run to thunderhead without doing the other missions around there too
).
Many people skip doing the missions in sequential order (after the first or fourth time they get boring to some), so unlike factions and nightfall there are no locked gates or requirements to get to the next mission town in prophecies.

You will arrive in Lions Arch when you get to Tyria. If you should want the Protector of Tyria title you will need to get back to Ascalon to do those missions.

- There is a seer in the north-easternmost section of Mineral Springs that will infuse your armor. The Eidolon in that area is right before you reach the Seer and is called an Ice Beast. You will have to defeat it and several Ice Imps and a Siege Ice Golem to reach him.
- There is a seer in the Ring of Fire (Mission) that will infuse your armor, see mission (bonus) for details.
- There is a seer in the Abaddon's Mouth (Mission) that will infuse your armor, see mission for details.

You do not need to run back to Ascalon City unless you are going for the "done all the missions" title. I believe you won't get any XP from doing any of the missions before D'Alessio Seaboard.
Since you apparently already have Prophecies, there's no need to detail what you can do there.
