Just in the process of installing Guild Wars on my friends PC, managed to download, connect to anet and log in using my account. However when i select one of my characters to download in game files via mapping the number of files to download never drops, although it says it has downloaded 'X' amount of MB... The completion % does not increase either. I tried an -image but that doesn't seem to be working either.
Note:
- I have turned off all the firewalls as well as restarting the client but the problem persists.
- Internet speed is 4MB
- Downloading at roughly 150kb/s through anets downloader.

Maybe your admin or internet provider blocked your ports. Two weeks ago my provider limited my P2P download/upload to 5 kb/s ;o So maybe your did same thing without warning.

If you are getting 150kb/s download speed, the only thing I can suggest is that there may just be a lot of stuff to download. So much so that the % takes a long time to change.
You probably installed from the CDs? If you had then copied the gw.dat file from your computer, it would not need to download so much stuff.
