i think ive F'd up gw??
set the refresh rate to somming and now every time i load it it just goes black screen and crashes any noise (music)
anyway i can change it back to normal w/o uninstalling it again?

Try running with -windowed, that should not trigger your monitor in changing its refresh rate, and you can change it then. I think
