RA build was it luck of the group??? Or is it the build???

RA is always about luck. You can run a bad build and win (like you did), you can run a good build and lose. Not that just means the "good" cookie-cutters you run aren't actually good, or you suck.

How is RA not about luck? You can roll the best bar available for your class and lose. No monk on your team, opposing team having direct counters to your build, allies being complete scrubs with no clue what they're doing... Doesn't mean your bar is bad or that you suck, just bad luck.

Or you can go with a unique, horrible bar like this guy and win, due to all of your opponents being incompetent/your allies being good and carrying you. Result of good luck.
