hi i have been doing the rapter farm did 10 runs and what i got is kinda funny.
26 golds 1 ele swords req 10
1 candy cane shard
thats it, i m happy with the golds dropping better there but , that place was always good to farm event drops.
anyone else having bad drops for the weekend event

Candy Cane Shards have always had a rather low drop rate compared to other event items. I farmed the Underworld snowball quests for them last year.

nope, not one candy cane shard drop. Been farming with an e/mo terra tank with searing flames in hard mode and haven't got one yet.

Whilst vanquishing Old Ascalon today I got 4 candy cane drops. And thats with a team of 4, I think that rate is ok. Id rather they weren't dropping like flies.

Drop rate definitely increased, or it was just different from NM to HM and was/is rare in HM. I farmed raptors several times and got six golds but no CCS, then started killing gargoyles outside Nolani and I now have 12 after twenty minutes.

Just finished fow clearout NM with the guild, something like 15 shards dropped....and many golds. Something wrong? :look:

so wait, does this mean the drop rate of golds is increased for wintersday? cause 26 golds in 10 runs is a lot more than i ever would get. as for the CCS's, i havent been doing a whole lot of farming, but i managed to get 1 or 2 from doing greatest snowman ever made. heres a tip for those who think its not worth farming for the shards. SNOWBALL ARENA. its fun AND you get shards from winning :P

Actually I've gotten probably 50+ candy cane shards. Gotten a lot more of those than any golds.

Yep, getting the CC Shard drops via farming other items seems to be fail. I have done many many Glacial Stone runs only to end up with a total of 7 shards so far, of course the gold drops are what I prefer, but it is surprising to see that few of them. Has anyone tried the Grawl farm for the Ornate Grawl necklaces in nm to see if they drop there?

Just last night I traded in 85 CCshards for gifts. Getting 5-6 per farm run and 2-3 per run through Fronis. Also been camping in Ascalon getting the present drops. I'm seeing a lot, can't figure out if I'm doing anything special.

Agreed, I've been getting plenty of shards, but the gold is just pouring in. I've gotten more gold items from running Elonian newbs through the wintersday quest than I was getting in HM.
Of course, they're bad quality, but Wisdom points are always good to have.

The raptor cave is a gold sink, really i went with my sin for a few rounds and in one round alone i got a lucky 4!! GOLDS, i mean thats incredible.
Mods on them golds are crappy for the most part but what the heck, wisdom for the win.

the reduced drop rate does make it less fun that it did last year. its FUN to get presents, but all this shit just makes it like work.
