i tried many times runs from beacon to drocks or other runs in the area, but is verry hard. How they can do that? I used the recomended builds and upgrades (sure, i didnt practice so much). There u must pass sometiems 3 consecutives huge groups, that is IMPOSIBLE even for a pro runner and i really want to put a gw programer to run there, because is a derision.

and about the price, 2k? omg, should be at least 10k for EACH guy. Sure, for a pro runner is easy, but he lost months to learn that.

Well I got to Droks on my own 3 times and later cheated a little with my Factions ranger and had someone run her, as you say 2k was the price and we payed 50% at a town part way there the rest at Droks

It was pretty quick and simple for the runner "Or appeared so" I guess you have to know what points you can rest up at to recharge skills etc.

Runners used to be mainly rangers but dervishes are doing runs a lot now.

You could at one time find maps of the route to take maybe they are still around and could help.

Droks is a hard run but ive done it recently and ive done it before
Its not impossible just takes some skill

I dont see what making a programmer run it would do? for example.. I could make a hard game in.. java but that doesnt mean i would be able to finish it.

You just have to know the route well, know popups and stuff like that.

But i'm no expert on running at all lol.

I'm fairly shocked it is as much as 2k, it seems like I payed 5k for my Canthan Necro a few days after Factions release (though I was after Spiteful Spirit, not armor).

It is too easy to get max armor once you get to LA, you can go over to Cantha or Elona using only henchman and now, with the whole level 10 buff thing, it is trivial to get to the northern Shiverpeaks for easy to get max armor.

Outside of people who only own Prophecies or other campaign people hunting Elites there is little reason to get one. Add in elite tomes and you really only need a single character to get the run and if you have one character that made it there legitimately then you don't even need that run.

It cant be too hard with all the poeple doing it, which is also why its 2K.

Like all pvp its all about build, eqipment, knowing how its dont and a tiny bit of luck .

You know why its 2k and not 10k, because with the right skills and pratice every man and his Dervish / drunken monk can do it

The most i remember it being was only 5k when the only one that could run it was a VERY good warrior, you cant have people pay 10k for this run, simply because theres not enough people that are willing to pay that, and 2 because many people can run it easy with a derv nowadays...

Oh, i also think it isn't more expensive because people can go to consulate docks/kaineng or get the max armor in Boreal Station in the beginning of GW:EN.

Not to brag, but I can do this pretty easily. I rarely have problems on this run with my dervish. And i even ran her to droks on the first try. Maybe i'm just gifted?

Some People are born to do certain things, I was impressed by myself tanking as 600 in CoF dungeon so good with few deaths. Its just how the world rolls

no offense, but if you cant make the droks run with one of the builds that works you suck at running. sorry. the drocks run is at the easiest its ever been, the only creatures that should even make you a little bit nervous about losing a few seconds are giants and wurms. with the chillbians nerf spell-casters are a joke. its only worth 2k now. if you want to see an actual hard run, try to make it through ice dome.

Since the introduction of Dervishes, running has been too easy. I took a Mo/D build straight from Pvx, never having tried running the droks run, and made it in my first try. I had no idea about where the popups are, or how the mobs move.

So no, it's not impossible. And I wouldnt pay 2k for it seeing how easy it is.

The droks run was something i had set myself to do, for the challenge, so far i have completed it about a dozen times, but i am nowhere near a 'pro' runner. Success, I think depends on practice and a good spawn, one of the toughtest runs at the moment apart from icedome, is the copperhammer to iron mines , through the frozen forest, now that is a pain in the arse.
The run was a lot harder after one of the updates i cant tremember which, but beacons perch was empty for a while til people figured out new ways of doing it, and when they did prices were higher for a time because only a few could complete it.

Happy Christmas...

Actually, when people first figured out how to do the run, a year and a half or so ago, it was warriors who did it. After that, monks. Rangers and dervs are a recent addition.
