I heard that even when Guild Wars 2 comes out, the classic will still be playable. I don't think they'll ever get rid of it, it probably just won't get updated or as much attention.

I won't get something until I consider it a viable option. Take this year for example I have an xbox 360 because in the recent months a number of games have appeared that attracted my attention and will keep me occupied for a good while. Even now i'm considering getting a PS3 next year and have a list of viable games that will make the console worth getting if those games are good or not by my opinion.
I know Guild Wars is a PC game. But it was an example that it's best to wait and see if it's what you want. Truth is we don't know much about Guild Wars 2 to start making assumptions about whether or not the original Guild Wars will die. Personally I will keep playing Guild Wars since I enjoy it and Guild Wars 2 should it be a good game.

A-net ruined it because they killed farming.
You can no longer use 955 hp to farm Ancient Dragon spawn.

killed the game cus i can't make 700k in 4 hours anymore, and they rolled the game back 3 hours so I only have 130k.... GW 2 is dead.

....GW 2 killed farming just like that protective bond nerf... and now if you want to farm with your monk/rt 955 hp in Insane Nightmare hax mode, you have to take
