Texmod issue.

First of all, I'm not sure if this belongs here.. so apologies if it doesn't.

Can anyone please tell me what I'm doing wrong with Texmod? It never works for me. It runs Guild Wars fine, but never runs the application such as making unexplored areas orange in this example:




That's how I set it up, and can never get anything to work. I'm new to Texmod, so it's probably something painfully obvious. Thanks in advance, and merry Christmas.

What is your system specs?

I had a similar problem, I tired and tired to get it to work before I found out it was my grapics card. Yeah you need a certain type for it to work.

It seems right.. have you tried any of the other campaigns to see if they work?

I honestly couldn't tell you, the comps about 5 years old...

I'm now 90% sure that's the case, thanks. I can't enable post-processing either (or whatever you need to see the effects of being drunk).

go on gw and press f11 what directx are you running ? you need at least dx9 for texmod to run

I bet he's using vista, cant use texmod on vista.

edit: didnt read his pc was old, then it's probably the dx9 thing.

yup, I've ran texmod on vista several times. Works fine.

Now back on topic I know you need dx9 or better so if you don't have dx9 then it will not work.

You shouldn't be cheating and using 3rd party programs anyways with this game. Do things the right way, earn them by finding the locations you haven't been to even if it takes you a lifetime. <grin>

To each their own, I guess it's my American/Dutch "get-things-done-as-fast-as-I-can-and-easiest-way-possible" attitude here.

I downloaded dx9, what do I have to do to get GW to read off that instead of the old version?
