No access key to play

I'm new to GW. I got it for Christmas. I got the game of the year edition. Inside, there is a little square black piece of paper that says "Access key card". According to the support website, your supposed to open it and the key will be inside. Well I opened it, and got white paper. No key. I emailed support and they said to check the support page on where to find your key. So I explained a second time that I did, and its not there. Now I don't get a response. Anything I can do or did I just buy a game that I can't play?

Either continue with your support ticket and send a copy of your receipt and other proof that you brought the game and the access key is missing(like pictures). Or return/exchange the game from where you got it, explaining that your copy is missing its access key. The latter would probably be easier.

My key was on the back of a credit-card type card made of plastic.
I think it was covered and you needed to do something to uncover it like scratching or peeling. It was so long ago I forget though.

Ya I did peel off the paper, theres nothing inside. Just white paper where the key should be printed. Ok Ill just bug support a little more or take it back.

Simple solution would be to just return to the shop and ask for a replacement. That way you don't have to deal with ANet's inept support team at all.

lol my friend bought factions and there was no access key card and no manuscript.
then i bought factions and no manuscript was in it?
either anet is trying to dave money on packaging or they have a colorful sense of humor.
its not our fault they decided not to charge a monthly fee.
