EOTN Key Too Short...

I got EOTN as a present, and I try to add it to my account but the key is too short.... My key is only 11 characters long. I looked all over my package multiple times but can't find any other keys... so I am not sure what to do...

Stupid question alert! - did you try putting it in?

Stupid question #2 - does the key have 5 groups of characters separated by dashes (-) and did you put the separate groups in the separate 'boxes'?

Reading comprehension isn't your strong suit, is it? The OP said, very plainly, that his key is only 11 characters long.

where was this "key" located ? Where did you find it ?

your activation key should be on the back of a game activation card (creditcard-ish card inside the box), covered by a removable layer (to scratch away).

It should be in that shield thingy, you have to cut/rip it open.

Think it depends where in the world you buy it from - Here in the UK mine def came with the plastic scratch card as described by RotteN

In fact I've only ever had scratch cards with my GW games, but have read on forums about the tear-open package

It's not necessary to flame him for trying to help. Go troll somewhere else or play in a fire. While his question answered itself, it did provide a bit of information about the format of the key that the OP cannot find.

Nothing I said had any relation to it being only 11 characters long. I simply asked if he had tried it anyway, and if it was divided into 5 groups. For example 4a-678-73e-65-1 is 11 characters divided into 5 groups.
