Lumps of Charcoal

I've been farming in Old Ascalon, Hardmode with the Hulkingstones. I keep getting Lumps of Charcoal every now and then, but I have no idea what they do.

What are they used for?

Exactly what I do.
I farm the same place and get tons of em. Then go buy some Iron and Dust for super cheap.
Made 90k after paying 20k for the mats. Didn't realize that Deldrimor Steel actually goes higher than 800g otherwise it would have been more.

Use them for a heat source when barbecueing Charr.

Seriously .... look into that Deldrimor steel crafting. I've made quite a bit doing that over the years.

oh-my-gawsh. i FINALLY have a use for the almost full stack of charcoal i have in my storage atm! i farm stone elementals in HM in the same place you do, but i usually would just sell my charcoal to the rare mat trader -.- thank you for telling me this! *goes and crafts a whole wack of deldrimor steel*

Yeah, it's what I did to cut the cost of the dragon gauntlets down

You can craft normal steel ignots as well

for: 10 Iron Ingots, 1 Lump of Charcoal and 200G

1 lump of charcoal is currently going for more than 1 steel ingot.


So, value of materials and cash to craft is over 600G for something that sells for about 200G. Not going to make a lot of cash that way

Wiki's search engine is very picky. If you search for "Lumps of Charcoal" (plural) you'll get nothing worthwhile. If you search for "lump of charcoal" it will say it couldn't find it, but suggest you may find something under "Lump of Charcoal" - the only difference being the capitol letters. On the other, if you just put in "charcoal" it will come right up with "Lump of Charcoal".

It takes some getting used to.
