I plan on making a character to stay in pre-searing until level 20. I know that this character will no longer be able to complete the Survivor track, but will she be able to finish the cartographer tracks for all of the games?

I heard Ascalon Arena and a few other places can not be entered after a certain level; does this mean I'll be stuck at 99.9% of Tyria explored for not getting to it?

Also, is it possible to get the Kurzick and Luxon tracks at the same time? I'm not really sure how that works; can I only get points with the group my guild is part of? What if I swich guilds?

Nope. As soon as you hit level 20 and get your Legendary Defender title, you can then go through to post-Searing. At that point you can do whatever you want, including explore the continents.

You will hit 100% before you get the ENTIRE map explored. Its just one of the quirks of the title. You have the leeway to skip a few little inconsequential areas like this. Besides, you can still get into the Ascalon Arena outpost, you just can't enter into an actual match.

Your faction allegience relies solely on which side you happen to have more points for at the time. If you have 5,000 Luxon faction and 5,001 Kurzick, you're a Kurzick. This means you can switch sides at will, whenever you want. Your progress is never erased or reset. Just be careful, if you redeem faction points for one side, you lose your points for the other side. make sure you use up your points before you switch sides.

Also, you're free to be in any guild you wish. You can be a Kurzick in a Luxon guild if you want, for instance.. you just can't donate faction to your alliance since they take Luxon points which can be inconvenient since its the easiest way to advance your title.

Getting LDoA (Legendary Defender of Ascalon, lvl 20 in pre-sear) will only exclude one other title, and that is of Survivor, since you will have to Death Level to reach lvl 20.
