16/16 Smiter?

I see this often in ToA...is it just a smiter who uses a 16 Smite headgear and cast the Smite enches, then switches to 16 Prot headgear and uses the prot enches?

So what's the question...?

It's simply a Monk (or mesmer) with 16 in Smiting Prayers.

16/16 = 16 out of 16 rather than 16 Smite/16 Prot.

How can a mesmer get 16 in smiting with no runes? I know signet of illusions is a possibility, but wouldn't it just be easier to run monk?

Yes it would. When my guildy and I farmed Foundry, he switched to Me/Mo once he achieved Holy Lightbringer on his Monk so he could earn the title twice on different characters.

The Elite Skill (Peace and Harmony) is insignificant in that scenario.

no, it usually refers to having both attributes at 16, and 16/16 = 1 if i lernd my maths gud

I swap headsets when I'm the smiter. I got about 9 headsets for my monkey

hehe, I have 11 different headsets for my ele only for different functions and 13 if you count bison headpiece and glasses but those are just for looks sometimes
