helpful tips:
If they are selling a single tome, you have a much better chance of talking them down in price. Usually people with multiple tomes have researched the prices either on here or with their alliance members (or, they're also pro merchants). People who got a tome on a lucky drop usually just go to make a quick buck, most think "elite tome = 10k or so". If they ask for 8k......ask them if they'll take 7k. The worst they can say is "no" and then you can still turn around and buy it cheaply for 8k. It NEVER hurts to try and talk them down in price, ESPECIALLY if it's already cheap.
Buying is slightly different. Some "pro merchants" have outdated prices, hence i was able to buy 6 elite monk tomes from a single merchant for 9k each. At 3k profit a piece, that's 18k of net profit off one transaction. Also, be careful in the prices you publicize. If you advertise your prices, even individuals that were ready and willing to pay more will be expecting those prices. Just advertise your tomes, let them make the first offer, and go off that. During peak hours i usually try to close my buys quick, so i dont make as much money. I do this because it's only a matter of time before someone DOES advertise a very low price and you lose a customer.
Ah well, off to real-world worky worky
