Lagg and No Ectos Dropping?

Started Solo Ecto farming in UW about 6:30a.m. till about 8:30 a.m. Didnt get a single Ecto. During this time was experiencing very bad lagg spikes as well as the bolt sign on my ping meter. Not sure if its a Wintersday glitch or server, but i talked to other people in ToA and they said the same exact thing. No Ecto and Lagg spikes. Wondering if its just bad luck or something happened.

Dunno about the ecto thing. But the lag is to be expected. The biggest GW event of the year is naturally gonna cause lag for a lot of us. I'm lagging quite badly today, disconnected twice. But I expected it so...meh.

Had someone go in to UW. Had a couple of runs. Nothin. No Ecto's. Still could be bad luck. That guy #5 with no Ecto's dropping.

My guild leaders gone 24 consecutive UW runs using the W/Rt farm build without an ecto at all, he's now given up lol.

No lag here, but the ecto thing is probably just bad luck.

As for ectos, i haven't really noticed a difference and i think the giant lagg spikes are global because im getting them in TA as well

I did an UW run and got 2 ecto and UW scroll. Next run I got 1 ecto and a gold unid storm bow. The runs are going surprisingly well for me.

I've been getting horrible lag spikes today, too. Got tons of err7s last night.

But I don't know about ecto's... /Hopes Anet have nerfed droprate to make them more expensive.

Today 10 runs 0 ecto drops. Yesterday 5 runs with 3 drops/ run! Go figure. A-net is yanking our chain.

I just did a 8/8 guild party uw clearance all quests. We got about 12 or so drop in total. (Excluding the one from the chest >.>)

Aatxes did seem like they were on crack today. I blame the lagg, to me it looks like Im in a certain place & the server thinks Im in another.

Could over farming be causing the lack of ecto drops. Cleared Aatxes and smites three times in a row, no ecto. (600 / Smite)

when the pumpkin pie slices and apple cider were dropping, my girlfriend and i seemed to get many less destroyer core drops than usual. Could it be that candy cane shards are interfering with the drops of ecto? possibly not, but that might be a reason why

Actually i didnt get any candy cane shards either. This all happened in the early morning in america. I dont believe its bad luck. The problem may have been fixed now, i dunno. I am not going back into UW for a while. When me and 5 other people at the same time experience massive lagg and no Ectos its kinda fishy. I honestly have not experienced any lagg at all during this event. First time was this morning. And everyone else in ToA was screaming lagg and disconnects around this time.
But oh well...
