Second Profession

I just bought Nightfall and started a dervish. I am level 4 and am at the Champions Dawn(dont know how I got there) I was wondering how to get a second profession.

P.S. What is A good 2nd profession for a dervish and how do I get koss a 2nd profession

You'll get one by following the quest line if you go back to Kamadahn. The primary quest you should have will grant you the option of which secondary you would like to choose at level 5.

heroes automatically have second professions i think.

To select a 2nd profession for a hero, press [K] (default key) and click the picture of the hero at the top. (The hero must be in your party) and then click on the blue bar with for example Warrior and change it to Warrior/Monk or something.

I'd adivise for looking on the wiki's, they have a summary of what the good sides are for each secondary profession. You'll always be able to change your secondary further in the game, so it's not that binding.

Press L and look for a quest under "Primary Quests". There should be a quest there that makes you take on a 2nd prof, if not, just do any quest that you have there, and you'll run into the quest sooner or later.

If you want a 2nd profession for your heroes, here's what you do: Press "K" and click your heroes' portrait. Way above everything else, it should say "Profession:". Click that and you will get a drop-down menu where you can choose the desired 2nd prof from.

If I remember correclty, when you hit level 5 in Nightfall you can a quest in Kamadan that you can then go and select a 2nd profession for yourself.

Most basic Dervish builds (not all) use only dervish skills. They have some good self heals, protections, stances and obviously offense. I'd say monk maybe just so you have more res options then the sig alone, as well as a few other monk skills that can benefit your derv (at low lvls). Overall though, it's just for the pre-island, so don't worry, whatever you choose won't brand you for life and kill you - you get options to change it whenever you want soon after you get to the mainland .
