After much cajoling, my parents bought me a PCI wireless adapter card for my desktop computer.
I installed the card and the software.
While installing the software, a message popped up about how the drivers didn't have Microsoft's seal of approval, so it might not work with XP.
After restarting my comp and signing in to windows, my cursor locked itself into the top right corner of my monitor, and any time I tried to move it it clicked off anything I was running.
I have been able to connect to the Internet, but as soon as I open Internet Explorer, my haywire mouse immediately closes it.
Is there a way to fix this problem?
Btw, the reason I got an adapter was so I could have my computer in my room and have internet access with it.

do you have just the generic mouse that came with the computer or an aftermarket mouse like a gaming mouse?
If you have a gaming mouse, you might want to try removing the old drivers and re-installing the drivers for your mouse.

I thought the adapter might be interfering with the mouse's signal, so I uninstalled the mouse drivers and bought a generic mouse.
Same problem.

Boot into safe mode (mash F8 while booting) and see if the problem still exists.
