Activate all res shrines
Tender Wolf
You know how res shrines only activate when you get close enough to them? Why not have them all activate as soon as you zone, then when you die you get sent to the nearest one? And please fix it to where if you activate one it rubberbands you back to the previous one.

Prevents runners.
Hella annoying though. They should probably increase the range that you need to be from them to be active. I've passed pretty close to some before that didn't activate.

They should auto-activate if all party members have it in their minimap.
That is, if they have activated it before.

"Droks runner, 2k per person"

It'd be nice yeah but make a few things so much stupidly easier.. e.g. Skill capping, running, etc.

I dont really see a problem with making the res shrine range a little closer, I have noticed there are a few you have to get really close to in order to trigger them.

Its not just about runners. Its also about basic game play the first time through. Need to get to Arborstone outpost the first time? Don't worry... you just need to make it half way there.

Here's an idea - how about if you've mapped the specific spot where the res shrine is, then it activates? If not, then you'd have to map over there for it to work.

Read it properly next time, k?

/No.
If you didn't make it to the res shrine, then you weren't good enough to deserve the progress.

Then there's no reason why the average mob should not be a walk in the park to you.

You do that and people can just pick their rez shrine. Stupid idea for this game. They are easy enough to get too and if you don't no big, not like the enemies respawn where you have already defeated them. No need for this.

Perhaps this is the wrong place to add this, but here goes:
I think the mob spacing should be such that you could actually sneak all the way from one place to the other; it would probably take longer than running and maybe about as long as fighting your way through, but it'd provide an option for those of us who prefer a less violent path to advance...

Uhhhh yes... this would be the wrong place to post that. This is about res shirnes, not mob spacing.

I usually do agree on most things posted here, but I think this one is just stupid. And how would it work if there are 2 in an area and you die? Which one would you go to since they're both active?

And I think we had enough of your dumb ideas for this year. Do us a favor and stop posting for a while. |

I'm a /notsigned as well I'm afraid.
Even if you did activate all shrines in previously visited zones you should return to the nearest shrine, as it makes sense. Plus, how is the code supposed to know your purpose in that zone? It may not be simply to get from one end to the other. Lots of quests (particularly in Factions) have you fedexing from one end to the other and as such you'd be pretty pissed if you got to where you wanted to be, only to be thrown to the shrine nearest the opposite end of the map to where you entered because the code assumed you wanted to shoot through.
That said, I have noticed a disparity in the distance needed to activate a shrine. From playing a few of my Elonian characters through the Crystal Desert I've noticed you don't have to be anything like as close to one there as you do in Elona or GW:EN. That should be addressed, in my opinion.

Geez, cut the girl some slack.. Alright so I checked your profile and the threads you've made in Sardelac Sanitarium and there not all that bad.. Alright a few are a bit silly but there's 2 or 3 that are fairly valid and would be nice...
It's just a suggestion and she's right, you don't have to respond - but you guys also have the right too your own opinion to disagree, but give it in a mature manner, not flaming here or anyone else who agrees with the idea.
However, personally I don't agree with the idea because it would make things even easier for people in the game like I've already said earlier in this thread such as skill capping, running, etc.. As for the 'for some people it isn't easy'.. Well to be honest, Guild Wars is actually really easy no matter what way you look at it...

So i'll ask you the opposite question that you asked yourself
"Why?"
Also. When you say this game isn't easy to everyone. i assume you want it to be, else there would be no reason to even mention it.
And to be honest, this game is already really easy, atleast the majority of it is. If the game was balanced for the bottom of the community to find it easy, then everybody else would find it boring, I don't know who said it, but i recall a quote i read somewhere.
"You can please some of the people all of the time or you can please all the people some of the time, but you can't please all the people all the time"
